Access control wizard - not working

My control wizard was not working and I have figured out why. It was not enabled. I went to the drop down menu of the control group icon and clicked on "use wizard". Very basic but this is a big relief for me. If anyone is helped by this... then good.

    Form Layout and design

hey thanks GinaWhipp:) The DELETE is to remove the entire record from the table. All the tabs will be linked to that one ID. If there is an error on the tab page, the user can correct it themselves but the delete button would be for a record that they don't want to be on the table anymore.

didn't know that but that's good since it will all go on the one record. I didn't create the buttons with the wizard. I just clicked on the button. I'm looking and can't seem to find the darn wizard.

hi Plog, thanks for your feedback. Please bare in mind that I'm still fairly green with Access programming. I want to use this form to update a number of tables and thought it made sense to specify the table(s) associated with it...?

Hi, I figured it out. I simply deleted the ones that I'd pasted previously on the tab page and clicked a new button control outside of the Tab. Sorry for my ignorance but I'm learning a lot from this site already. I need help with the VB code for my SAVE CANCEL DELETE and UPDATE buttons. Your...

linking combo box to tab controls

Good morning. Thanks for that vbaInet. Will I be able to use this Form for more tables then, even though I created it as a single-table form? If yes what attribute should I change for this?

linking combo box to tab controls

the tables refer to different categories and are not related to each other. The point is to carry out independent analyses of them at some point. Right now, they are very normalised. Can I ask would you create a form having upto 20 tabs on it? Is that a good design strategy?

excellent! it worked. Thank you!! hm who knows why I chose that design, vanity maybe.:D Actually I have 13 other tables (plus forms) to create and populate so you just gave me an idea. The thought of going through this 13 more times is scaring me. P'raps I should just tweak this form and use it...
