Default Value not getting applied when saving to SQL Server

Could you put this form into an empty database and then post the database so we can look at it. Have you tried to make a new form to see if it has this same behavior? Actually, just a couple of fields, including this one that is giving you the hard time.

Auto populate with weekly date on Combo box

What date do you want to start with? Or what day of the week? How far back do you want the combo box to go with possible choices? Do you always want the date in the combo box to be in history, or is there a place during the week the date in the combo box should be today's date? Those answers...

    Authentication problem

The field you are dealing with appears to be a combo box. The autonumber field is what is bound to that field, and the name appears in the visible box because that is what the combo box is designed to do. More than likely, the number is the first field and the name is the second field in the...

    record source

You could also try Me.Parent.subfrm2.form.recordsource = "SELECT ...." Plus, if you could tell us what is the error message you are getting, that would help. If there is no error message, then what is happening? No records appear, or what? By the way, are the Child/Master fields the same with...

Default Value not getting applied when saving to SQL Server

The action of removing the value from a field on the form is exactly that, removing the value. Access allows you (or the user) to do what ever you have allowed them to do. If you do not want this field to be sent to SQL Server as a null, then you need to check the status of the field in the...

Could you post some sample data for these two tables? That would really help.

Best Way to Loop Through and Close Certain Forms

Russ, do you want to close multiple forms at once, or just one form now and some other form later? And you only want to close the form if it is open? If it is just one form now and another later, just close it. If it is not open, Access does not care. There is no error message or anything...

    Problem to overcome

Try the Access documentation (On line help) and search on share. If the problem is on the web side, try an .ASP forum, or look into options with ADO open to allow sharing.

    Problem to overcome

Sounds to me like the database is being opened without share. At least without share for update. OR, the .asp page is trying to open the database in exclusive (non share) mode. Of course that would not be allowed because the database is already open.

Creating a command button from a form into a Access Web Page

I think you really need an .ASP forum for help with the details of your situation. This being an Access forum is not where you will find many .ASP developers. Sorry.

Creating a command button from a form into a Access Web Page

If the web page is an .asp page, then you can use VB script. Therefore, it would be much like you have show the current code to be. When the page opens, capture the TimeStarted value. When the user clicks on the button you provide to consider the page finished, calculate the TimeTaken value...

why you don't want to help me

I have no idea what files you missed. But if you installed all files as stated, then there is something different about how Windows is now installed, or there was some additional software previously installed that is no longer installed after re-installing windows. I have no way of knowing...

open report button does not work

If you want to preview the report, then the second one you tried is the one you want. Use the acPreview option rather than the acNormal option. OpenReport, if you read the documentation (the online help file) explains what these options do for you. OpenReport opens the report to either the...

why you don't want to help me

I'm thinking that you did not reinstall Access in the same way it was originally installed. My suggestion, go back and look at the options you used when installing Access and see if there is something else you could install with Access that you missed on the re-install

    Clear Button for unbound fields

Have you used the debugger to see if the code is even being executed? Maybe the name of the command button is no longer cmdClear, or maybe the [Event Procedure] is no longer in the On Click event of the button.
