Just an update to that web site I mentioned, and the package called EzyDocumentor. It no longer is free, and... the majority of the products that used to be free are no longer free.

convert export as text to tab delimited (Word Merge)

Pat, I didn't have a "Save All" on my screen, but I did a double-click and got to the parameter screen anyway where I was able to specify no quotes, tab-type spacing and so forth. I wonder if Microsoft will ever make a product that would perhaps besides "user friendly" also be "people...

I need a form for selecting input files. I already have my VBA code, queries and so forth for what I am going to be doing to my files, but now I need to have a form that will allow me to select different files for processing. Does anyone have a sample, a snippet of code, or suggestions as to...

Data type mismatch when opening a table??

Wayne, Thanks for replying.... that's what I "discovered" yesterday also.... that explicitly declaring as a DAO. type worked. And yeah, the data my users gave me is royally squirrely, as are the users. You should see some of the other data I'm "lucky" enough to work with. In any case, I got...

Data type mismatch when opening a table??

I imported an Excel workbook and created an Access table, called "Unsorted." I then wrote a small VBA module to process the table and create an output table. However, when I run the code, my Openrecordset line gives me a "Data Type mismatch" error. What causes this? I've attached my database...

    Remove apostrophe from names?

Pat, I agree.... actually, this "plight" of mine was geared toward a parts processing system and so had nothing to do with people and their names. I just have that old funny feeling that the boss will later on ask that the apostrophes be put bck in and won't that be fun!!!! Actually, I'm...
