    SaveAs saving picture as TIFF

Hello all, I have a button that saves a picture to file with a .bmp extension, when I go to that file's properties although it says BITMAP, looking into its advanced properties, it shows up as a TIFF and Access doesn't recognize TIFF's. Any ideas how I can get this to save as a .BMP? I saw...

    Twain Image controls

The imgedit.ocx and imgscan.ocx drivers point to a Kodak Image control. Can I use that or do I need to unregister that and re-register the controls? I guess I'm confused on this. Thanks.

    Twain Image controls

Hello all, Can someone tell me how to add an imgedit control to a form. I have installed a scanner and the software. The .OCX drivers are there, but the controls don't show up in the list of ActiveX controls. Am I missing something here or do I need to register them somehow? Any ideas. Thanks

Data from one form to another

What's supposed to be happening? Are the White_Name and Red_Name in the bottom form supposed to match the top form? Or are you trying to add items to your listbox on the right? I don't know what your control names refer to. I've personally never used "Let" statement, but that doesn't mean it's...

Data from one form to another

    Slight change. Try changing the ! to . b/4 List20. If Me.RedScore = 1 Then Let Forms!Karate2.List20 = Me.RedName If Me.WhiteScore = 1 Then Let Forms!Karate2.List20 = Me.WhiteName

Data from one form to another

To reference another form use its name. When you code "Me" you're referencing the current form. Basically replace the "Me" with the actual form name to "point" to another form. i.e. Forms!FormName.ControlName i.e. Forms!Karate2.List11 = Forms!Karate1.Red_Score Search in help for "references" too.

    Do we need moderators?

Sorry I only skimmed the previous posts to this thread, but I like what you said Jon... Common FAQ's would be well advised. Include a FORUM ETTIQUETE and require that all newbies read it. I saw the same thing on another site and it helped me to be a more thoughtful poster. Like many newbie...

    Conditional formating on report

There is a more complex way to do this using code, but here's a simple solution. If your customer table has no field that specifies when he/she should be red/blue then you could... 1.)add a yes/no field to the table. Checked being (red) and unchecked being (blue). 2.)Then you can set the...

    image file = *wildcard*

IMO, Got a chance to look at your db. It's great! I'm wondering how you accessed a picture without knowing the TYPE of picture though. I'm unable to see your code, but I'm interested in knowing how to do that. Thanks.

    image file = *wildcard*

Hello all, Is it possible to use a wildcard character when setting an image control = to an unknown file type (.bmp, .jpg, etc...)? I'm trying to point an image control to a file. It works, but because I'm unsure what type of image, I would like to change the command to use a wildcard at the...

    My Boss fears Replication

but I don't like random numbers. Thanks for you response, Pat. That clears up a lot. I'll tell my boss that you said it was safe :) I've read posts on this and the idea of random ID#'s in replication makes sense. Rich set me straight on this once too. One thing though... While the replicas...
