Command Button embedded within form Datasheet view column

Thanks joeKra for the quick reply! I figured the answer was a flat out "no" and that's actually what I'm doing already within the same forms. Just wondering if I could take it a step further with some fancy VBA.

Command Button embedded within form Datasheet view column

Hello, Is it possible to make a button/text box appear within a form column when the form's in Datasheet View? This isn't a life-or-death situation and "no" is more than an acceptable answer. Just curious if it is even possible with VBA and why it is/isn't?

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

Ah... I see now. When I step through the code, it all fires as expected but the OnCurrent event still doesn't fire when I click the "+", only when I jump records with my cursor.

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

That just causes the code to halt altogether when I move the cursor to a new record, firing the OnCurrent event. Stop If Me.Text33 = 1 Then Me.Test_Quote_Options_Sub2.SourceObject = "Test Quote Options Sub2 - 5 Rows" ElseIf Me.Text33 = 2 Then...

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

Cronk, I just had the chance to try your suggestion and I still have to click in the same record I want to expand (click the "+" sign) in order for the OnCurrent even to fire properly. However... I might be putting the Stop line in the wrong place too... Here's what I'm doing: If...

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

That might just do it, Cronk! Does it show the corresponding subform? Meaning, when you put the stop line in the OnCurrent event, does it show 5, 10 or 15 lines based on the expression I have when you click the "+" regardless of what record your cursor is in? If the answer's yes, then you have! :)

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

Weird... I can open it with no issues. So, it just crashes? No error or anything?

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

Ah, my bad... It might be because I'm using Office 2010, so it's looking for 2010 VBA References. I've attached the olb files here: Just put them in the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14 Not saying that will fix it, but since you're running 2007 you...

Anyone have any say on what I could do about my previous post?

Export Access 2007 Report to Auto-Generted PDF Form

Back again... This time, it's because I'm currently having issues with grabbing the selected text's bounding rectangle (to insert a fillable/calculated field on top of the selected text). I've been reading up on the Acrobat reference books still (mainly this one), plus other places on the web...

Export Access 2007 Report to Auto-Generted PDF Form

So far, so good! Slowly making process bit by bit, but now I've hit a wall... I need to grab pricing values used on the report and find them on the PDF. However, when I go to find "$46,800" on the PDF I'm only getting "46,800". What I'm doing seems to ONLY pull the text (and any special...

Export Access 2007 Report to Auto-Generted PDF Form

I might consider just doing that eventually, spikepl. Especially since we have Acrobat X Pro to deploy here. However, if there is a possible way to automate this within VBA then I know this option would be preferred. Update: So far I'm able to add a fillable field to the exported PDF report...

Export Access 2007 Report to Auto-Generted PDF Form

My thoughts exactly when this request was projected to me! Yeah, and that's the thing, from the searching I've done I haven't found anything well-documented for using Adobe api's to do what I'm attempting to accomplish. Merely a "you can do this in Adobe!" with two thumbs up :P As for the...

Export Access 2007 Report to Auto-Generted PDF Form

Thanks for the reply, ozinm! However, the PDF creation isn't the unknown I'm dealing with in this scenario. It's figuring out, using Access VBA and potentially javascript, how to... Export a PDF Change the PDF (within VBA) to a PDF Form (will need to know proper Adobe Acrobat object...

Export Access 2007 Report to Auto-Generted PDF Form

I've asked this a while ago on Stack Exchange. Haven't gotten much for replies since, so I was wondering if anyone here could pass on any insight as to how this might be accomplished! Don't worry about replying to my question on Stack Exchange. If I get an answer, I'll post the answer on Stack...

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

That was my exact mental reaction when this request was given to me :p I've attached a stripped-down version of these forms. You will notice on the far right of the datasheet subform is a "text33" control; this is the field I'm basing my source object selection off of. The logic can be found in...

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

My apologies, I did misinterpret; the On Current event I'm trying to fire is the Sub Form's not the Subsubform's. Here's the design view of the subsubform (initially, before I split into 3 different forms for the On Current Event): Design view of the subform w/ On Current event: Design...

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

Sure! It took a bit of searching, but I was grateful I could get away with something like this for what I was trying to accomplish :) Right now, the On Current switches the sub-sub form's source object between three forms (showing 5, 10 or 15 lines) based on if a field in the 5th or 10th...

Firing On Current Event For Subdatasheet Form

Yes, there's a form object involved with the subdatasheet. The form hierarchy is currently structured as follow: Main Form (single) Sub Form (datasheet) Sub-Sub Form (continuous) So, I would like to fire the Sub-Sub Form's On Current event whenever I click the expansion (+ sign) button in the...
