Hi Drake, thanks for that I downloaded a trial message server software that allows you to send sms messages via access It does look promising however I do not have the correct lead to attach the phone to my PC to completly test it

I've got it to work now Rather than updating directly from my table I created a query instead & used the Now() function to replace the previous dates Thanks for all the help :)
