Ugly Iif statement You can't really do that here because the Calendar Yearly Matching and Nonmatching are in separate fields. In the long run she may have to enter the matching and non matching budgets in the trustee table as separate records rather than separate fields.

Thanks Mark. I always think of that after I've done a form and run into a problem. I ended up solving the problem by putting a new comman button on the form and in the options of the command button, choosing to link to a specific record via the record id field.

I changed the primary key on one table that matched the joined fields of both databases and guess what, it worked.

For some strange reason I am unable to add or edit records in my form yet the form properties show that Allows Editing, Addition and Deletions all say yes. Also, when I click on my "add records"button, it comes back with an error message that says "you can't go to the specific record"
