Closing date? to protect history record....

Ar maybe just to lock the field, cause using allowedit you wont be able to edit nothing in the form. If you just want to protect the date textbox try: Me.Textboxname.locked = True And thats it. Hope it'll come in handy.

    Blockin' Registers.

I found the source of all errors, the on current protocol doesnt work as i though it would, if a register is blocked, and i go to the next one, its blocked or unblocked state remains loaded from the last register. So then, something on the code causes the protocol to carry data from one register...

    Blockin' Registers.

I guess its getting hard to get what's wrong, yesterday i've been told access doesnt allow to block anything if my mouse has a field selected. Could that be the source of the mistake ? is there any visual basic command that would let me unselect any object before blocking ? ( that way ill be...

    Blockin' Registers.

It definitively locks now, thanks, but still ( I can't understand how can they be so many bugs in something as simple as this ) now theres a problem when one unblocks. If the register is saved as unblocked, when one accesses to that specific register, the textboxes are unblocked as they should...

Let say i have a form with a subform inside, lets also say my subform is a list of products in which we have certain fields including one named "unit price" Would it...

    Blockin' Registers.

But the program still blocks every registry when i open them, it does not discriminate if they have been previously blocked or not. I know how to play with the current stuff to fix it. but wont it show me the same mistake i had when i sent it to you ? I've just tested my modification. This is...

    Blockin' Registers.

What's that me.dirty field ? This program would block any executed register, i mean ( form current executes on every opened register ), what we were looking for was for it to keep a record on blocked and unblocked registers and only showed as blocked previously blocked registers. thats why we...

    Blockin' Registers.

They are in the main form. But i have a subform too. Anyhow the subform blocks itself just fine if i lock them manualy from the design view. if the code should have something else to block the subform, please let me know.
