    Banana Is an Access MVP

Congratulations! You have definitely helped me out before. Maybe you should change your name to big banana now? :)

Mutliple Condictional Formats on 1 Form

Mutliple Condictional Formats on 1 Form

One of the many frustrating constraints in Access . . . you weren't very specific about the type of form you are using, is it a datasheet view? If so, you are constrained by the fact that each control is used multiple times on the form, so if you change the color of the control in code, it is...

    Opening a report

Maybe there is no data to display . . . reports won't open without data.

Mutliple Condictional Formats on 1 Form

You have to right click on the control in design view and choose conditional formatting. You can apply up to 3 conditional formats in Access. HTH . . .

Are there too many forums here?

I agree - one watercooler would be better. I think there are too many forums up in the access portion of the site as well. It doesn't take people long to figure out that posting in the General section gets their questions answered faster than if they categorize them properly.

Need help with a Report design

I know that sounds like a good idea, but it's not. You really need to spend some time reading about database normalization - there are plenty of articles for beginners all over the internet. Once you've got the correct structure worked out, the form design will fall into place. Good luck . . .

Need help with a Report design

FK = foreign key :) Yes, when you have a one to many relationship, a main form with a subform is a common way to go.

Need help with a Report design

That sounds like a pretty poor design - the proper design would be one table for "families" and a separate table for "family members" with a FK to the families table . . .

    Taxing Marijuana

I guess we know who voted "no". We already made a cirrhosis inducing drug and a cancer inducing drug legal. Surely those are worse than a little temporary (and pleasurable) psychosis?

    Taxing Marijuana

I wouldn't say the laws aren't doing ANYTHING. They stop me - I am simply not willing to risk the legal consequences. I don't drink alcohol (don't like the way it makes me feel) or smoke tobacco (health consequences are too severe). The laws stop people like me from have any legal, regulated...

    Internet Browser

I use IE and safari (you need a multi option poll!), I like them both about the same - they are fine for my purposes. I tried using FF on my windows computer for a couple of weeks last year, but I didn't become familiar enough with it in that time to feel comfortable, so I reverted to IE. I...

    I was unfaithful

I can see the answers in IE . . . I always wondered how they could get people to pay for something that is free . . . now I know.

Maybe you should go debate them. I don't have any problems with my definition.

    Richard dawkings and Faith/Atheism

100% belief in the nonexistence of god is NOT the definition of atheism. more than 0% but less than 100% belief in the existance of god is NOT the definition of agnosticism. Until you can get that through your apparently exceptionally thick skull, this will continue to be a pointless argument.

    Richard dawkings and Faith/Atheism

An agnostic is someone who doesn't know whether god exists, and holds that it is a realistic possiblity that he does. An atheist is someone who does not think it is reasonable to assume that god exists under the circumstances (the circumstances being exactly zero evidence of his existence)...

    G20 - Gee Whiz

Your answer seems to imply that the president doesn't deserve to draw a salary for his labor, or that he is not entitled to spend his salary as he wishes. Yes, all government employee salaries are payed with tax dollars, that's how it works, at least until we can figure out how to get people to...
