    Anchor a Form?

I've taken this just one step further, what I had was the task list open as I wanted it but the switchboard on some systems based on their display settings would be overlapped. So I've embeded the first task list as a sub form into the upper left of a form, and then created my own switchboard...

    Anchor a Form?

That worked great, it allowed me to locate the form. I removed access to min, max and close buttons and border to thin, and non-moveable.. closest thing I could get to an anchored form Thanks for the help.

    Anchor a Form?

Hi. I've created a form with a list box that will get the username, look up a task list and then load the list box with those tasks. I'm doing this as a reminder of things to do. However, I'd like to anchor it to the right side of the database window, but I can't seem to be able to do that...

    DAO Properties

I figured I probably asked the question wrong.. My guess by your response is these are embeded more in Access and DAO allows you to manipulate the objects. Let me use a snip from some code I found while searching for a potential list.. This may clarify a bit better. Credit to Gemma for this...

    Greetings

We'll I've lurked for a few months and just recently started asking questions and posting. Wanted to say my hello in the proper forum and I look forward to asking a lot of questions.. Eventually answering some too. Thanks, Ed User of Access since '97 and all versions until 2007 (so far)...

    DAO Properties

I think I need to go and introduce myself as I've noticed there's a place for that.. I've found this to be a great place to ask a question and get a good answer. I've tried searching but I think I'm possibly not searching the forum or Google with the right keywords. I found in here where...

    Lookup Tables

Bob, I found on your website your reasons for not doing lookup at the table level, which unfortunately I did 5-6 years ago when creating several databases that are currently used. I'm now starting a task to consolidate our databases with my own login security but have all of these tables with...

    Network speed...

Found this discussion in a search but it brings up an interesting thought in something I'm trying to do.. What you're saying is open a form linked to a dummy table with no data.. And that will help with performance for a multiuser FE/BE setup? Using Access 2007.. having no SQL Server.. will...

Running a Macro that runs a query

Thanks to both.. Though I've used access since 97, I've steered away from Macros.. not sure why.. but I'd consider myself uneducated in them. that was much easier than I thought.

Running a Macro that runs a query

I have a couple of update querys that search a status and/or date information and change the status of the record based on the criteria I've given. The querys work fine, I've just tried to use a Macro to run both queries. In testing the Macro it worked, but it prompted me four times.. two...
