    I figured it out. 1) I changed my orginal table name from "data" to "all records" 2) I created a "Make-Table" Query that filters to the table "data" performance problem solved. hope this helps others.

    Outllook Calendar I figured it out. It's awesome. I can now enter a Subject, Date and Time and with one press of the button, it adds an appointment to Outlook a a Pop up message appears to remind me of the appointment!

    Book Recommendation

    I would recommend starting with "The Complete Reference" Access 2002. It's affordable and easy to understand. I've designed a few DB's, I consider myself beyond the beginners stage and I find myself still using it. Good Luck!
