Question How do I open access in runtime without security warnings?

Thanks jsnfrs, just be aware of the security risk (see post #8) of having your whole "my documents" folder 'open' to run any DB. I would go with the option that galaxiom has suggested. I have not as yet even a year on but I have 'fixed' all the work PC's to avoid having hte security risk open...

    Yearly Attendance Tracker/Calendar

Hi Saurabhwise, This is the best bet for you for that kind of thing and make the venture into Access. You need a table for staff names and employee numbers (included in above example), one for the department and number (included in above example) and the others for recording the actual absence...

    Form opening blank

hey, thanks for posting the DB, i cannot help as I don't have A2010- sorry. As for the locking of records, the form should be set to only lock the current record and not all records. if all records are showing as locked is the table/query already open somewhere elsewhen you open that form?

    Form opening blank

it sounds like there is something not quite right with an underlying query. ihave seen this in one of my early versions of a work DB. can you post a copy of your DB? Include which version you are running too as it may have an impact on possible help that can be given.

    Database Startup

try going to access options, then to current database in the list on the left. it shows a drop box for "display form" - put the one you want opened when it launches and it will be there at the start. as for removing all of the ribbons and control bars - I can't recall its been years since i...

    Yearly Attendance Tracker/Calendar

Thought I would add my 2 cents here, I have used this for a number of years now and have modified it numerous times to record different info. Really good job on the layout and the reports are superb. Unfortunately head office liked it too as it made it clear when the time came for people to lose...

Question Employee Database with Attendance Tracker

Hi, I used an attendance calendar from these forums ( http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=154187 ) I would check this out and modify the details in the tbl_Attendance to match that rather than changing the form to match your data. It is a good place to start. I have...

Question How to link yes/no box with a Date field?

Extending on that you can add a little bit to hide (or not) depending on where the tick marks are. If Me.SomeField = true then Me.SomeDateField = Date() Me.SomeDateField.Visible = True Else Me.SomeDateField = Null Me.SomeDateField.Visible = False End if I use this as it...

I think it is called "User Tracking"

Hi Stamage, Welcome to the forums. What I did in my case was to create a hidden text box on the form where the user logs in. This hidden textbox will contain the username/name of the person signed in. This window can then be set to me.form.visible=false after the log in has completed. I...

    Automatic e-mail

Hi Kesh, When running a db in an environment where more than one person would sign into it. It is advised to split the database into a front end and a back end. The front end is the part with all of the queries and forms, reports etc. The back end is where the tables and the relationships are...

VBA to Export Report to Multiple .PDFs

A cursory glance through this page let me know this appears solved. I just wanted to post this here in case I can help anyone else in the future. I haven't taken out table or query names, so it does need a bit of cleaning up. This creates a separate PDF for each stock buyer where a credit...

    Automatic e-mail

I had to do a similar thing. I made a small Front End db with jsut enough in the way of forms etc. to run the email. Then I made that FE open using taskscheduler in windows. Just make the setting in the task scheduler close the program if it runs for 5 or 10 minutes. Simple but it worked for me.
