Include an Outlook signature in a new MailItem

I'm trying to create a MailItem within access 2003 that includes my default mail signature from Outlook 2003. I don't have a problem creating a blank MailItem and then populating the relevant fields but i want to create a mail that already contains my default signature from Outlook. I can't...

Formatting text in outlook (Including signature)

Create a MailItem that contains an Outlook assigned signature? I'm trying to create a MailItem within access 2003 that includes my default mail signature in Outlook 2003. I don't have a problem creating a blank MailItem and then populating the relevant fields but i want to create a mail that...

    Help wanted with system test...

Hi ByteMyzer, Thanks for your feedback. You make a good point, however i don't agree with it. In my opinion ANYONE taking your email address through whatever method is potentially someone who is going to sell it and data protection registered or not, large or small, legitimate or not we all...

    Help wanted with system test...

Thank you bob. people are so scared of anything adverse happening! it's only an email address not as if i'm going to turn up at their house with a stocking on my head...i've got better things to do...."this weekend anyway!" lol

    Help wanted with system test...

You'd assume so wouldn't you? but.... To be honest what i need is variety! (The spice of life!) Part of the application deals with correctly interpreting information sent back to me from a webform which is emailed and contains all sorts of odd characters, line feeds, tabs etc etc. I don't want...

    Help wanted with system test...

I'm not looking to spam anyone or sell their data but need help to test a simple market research system that i have built. I'm looking for about 25-50 people to let me send them an email inviting them to a webform to see if the "process" works correctly from start to finish. The form asks for...

    Replacing special characters

Thanks for that. The text was a bt of a jumble containing tabs, line feeds etc, etc. In the end replaced unwanted characters by refering to them by their ASCII number. Your method looks better and makes what is being replaced more obvious so i'll amend mine to this. Thanks Vince

    Replacing special characters

I have some data received in the body of an email that i am trying to "clean". TABs or Carriage Returns (or both) are causing me a problem because although easy using find and replace from the menu bar, i can't seem to see exactly what to represent them with in code to automate their removal...

    "unrecognised database format"

You're not daft are you Bob! I've already got an audit table and can easily append records to it to record in/out activity. Still... if seomeone terminates the application "unexpectedly" i won't get a record created and i'll be seeing who was in but not who fell out! (and they're sure to deny...

    "unrecognised database format"

Hello Bob, There's nothing special happening on the network at that time and the users do all have their own copy of the front end. If only it were that simple! lol

    "unrecognised database format"

I've seen plenty of threads suggesting possible causes for this problem and numerous suggestions for possible fixes. My Access 2000 database is split in to a back end of around 70-80Mb and 5 users on the front side. No one's exiting stupidly and nothing out of the ordinary is happening...

    Bloating & temp recordsets??

Whoops! Yeah, you're right. The whole things so complicated i missed that fact that a previous run had already deleted the records being removed. So no bloat because no matching records founds! :-(

    Bloating & temp recordsets??

I have just been working with some temporary recordsets in access 2000. After working with the recrodsets each is closed and set to nothing but this leads to bloating of around 20Mb on a 70Mb backend database. So I (in messing around) I added "DoEvents" after closing each temporary recordset...

Access 2000 db Conversion to SQL

Thanks Thanks Tim, That one looks pretty good. I'll order that plus a couple of others that seem reasonable and with a bit of luck they'll get me out of trouble when i inevitably get into it! Cheers, Vince

Access 2000 db Conversion to SQL

Hi, I've got a fairly complex access 2000 database that's split into front and back ends. There's 32 back end tables and a whole host of complex front end queries and forms. The whole thing's around 25,000 lines of code so not a 5 minute job to rebuild! (sorry but i just can't stop...

Data type conversion - text to number & number to text.

HiThere, I was going to go into detail about why (but i don't have FOREVER to type it all...lets just ask the question instead... Is there any specific function able to convert a number stored as a text data type back to a number data type? OR Might it be possible to create a function using...

    Return remainder after subtraction

Perhaps my brain is still awash with beer!? I was sure that there was a simple function (a bit like datediff) that returns the remainder when one number is subtracted from another. I thought i had this burried in a database somewhere but can't seem to find it. Can anyone give me a hint as to...

    Nested tables/drill down limitations...?

Hi Andrew, Further down in my posts you'll see that i did eventually find the answer to this one, in the access helpfile itself of all places! (i know! strange but true, a help filed helped me for a change instead of sending me on a wild goose chace!) I can understand that nesting tables/data...

    Nested tables/drill down limitations...?

Well i suppose that you can predict most things apart from poor spelling? Providing the user with a list of previous answers to chose from for a relatively straight forward question allowing them to add to it you could limit the number of possibilities being entered and still allow flexibility...
