hi if i set up a batch file to open every hour and it copied a back end to a directory somewhere would the copying have any chance of corrupting the back end..? i'm thinking no...but i have suspicions

hi is it possible to convert all macros into VBA in VBA? i thought maybe the CurrentProject.Allmacros but can't find a convert method then i thought maybe Docmd.something, but no luck... :(

update: never did find a decent way round it, but came up with a few options 1) use abc&def [SMTPAlias@somewhere.com] 2) get IT to change the email address 3) everytime the user creates a PDF, use PDF writer to remove hyperlinks

the latter, create a subform instead of a report oh, ok, didn't even know that was possible, are you in Access 2007? what is the value of Reports!Stocktake!StockNumber when the code runs?

tried that, it's more subtle than that i'm afraid PDF writer takes what Access displays (not what the hyperlink is) and then sees an @ sign and turns it into a hyperlink email address, but gets it wrong because of the ampersand

why not download Access 2007, it writes to PDF and is free...but it runs out in a month or so, is it an on going thing?

aaaah i have a report with a label in it linked to a word document signature the signature has in it a hyperlink abc&def@somewhere.com when the report is saved to PDF, PDF writer recognises it as a link (from the @ i think) and makes it a hyperlink i'm pretty sure it does't just bring the...

in 2003, yes you print to an Adobe printer with VBA in 2007 you get to save as PDF for free...

have you got Adobe PDF writer? if not, then you can't do it
