I think I may have solved this by using the 'OpenArgs' :) Its working for one field anyway; just got to get it working for the other now; may be slightly more complicated in that I want to send a value from a field on a sub form of a form to the new form. I'm going to give it my best shot :-)...

Thanks Mark You are right, the contact form is a sub form... it does make sense that you can find the company ref from the contact easier than the other way around. I will have a look at changing it so that the search form gives me the Contact info instead... would that need to be changed at...
