Can a form be coded to produce a Word document that is almost always the same, but for the change of 3 or 4 fields (which are on the form), please, SuperCraftsmen?
For example, congratulations, or good luck, or a dismissal even (though in fact the message is almost always the same) to be...
SJ,
First: I have five queries that filter five fields.
Next: I then have five queries to count up these queries.
Finally: I have a query that collects the totals together to be bound to a form.
Does this sound a very long-winded way round to you? Cheers
Really good of you to offer to look. Unfortunately, it's restricted. If I can't find an answer soon, I'll just delete all associated with the form and try again. Many thanks, MoP, er SJ.
Hi, SJ. No, though it did. It's complicated by the query being fed by queries, but only two deep. (I've been trying to discover why the query that feeds the form does not return values.)
But I would have expected the textboxes to be visible - just showing a fault. Cheers
The form contains some text boxes with totals from queries and a command button or two.
The form worked well. Access to the database is restricted, but some 'comedian' has been busy. In normal mode, the form appears to be empty. In design view, everything is there.
'Visible' is yes for each...
Brilliant, SJ. (You're not the twin of the genius Mile-O-Phile, the main subject of a biography I'm writing about Wonder Kids? There's much of the brilliance - and dare I say, native charm of the Scots foothills if not exactly the Highlands - about you too.) Much appreciated. Cheers
SJ, It's not to open a form in the current db, but - please, guv - open a form in ANOTHER database. Do you know that command, please?
(I've done it several times before, but I can't recall the process ... and I can't find anything about it in the books.)
Cheers
Search produces 3 entries and a search on your answers from your profile, after 7 pages, doesn't find it either.
Just a hint, SJ, will be fine if Friday has numbed your alertness too. Cheers
Putting the date variation into the DateDiff function works fine, like
DateDiff("d",[OneDate], Date() - 14)
But I don't doubt really I should include SJ's DateAdd. Or .. perhaps there's some unwritten rule that says if it works, leave it alone. (?) Thanks, Ken, SJ.
My mistake. I was overlooking a function in the form's query that does some of the work. Thanks very much, Ken, and SJ McAbney. (I've kept your suggestions for incorporation.) Cheers
