    Who's exercising more?

There is a creche at uni, but only staff are allowed to use it. So, we'll either have to deposit Pi (who will be renamed when born!) at a nursery or with a childminder during the day. Although, last night's Whistleblower on BBC1 was quite scary. Giving up being a student isn't really...

    Who's exercising more?

 4 more?!?!?!?!? We weren't expecting 1, let alone more! Yes, we're still students in Newcastle - and will be for the next 2 and a half years. I suppose I should get around to changing my profile location.

    Who's exercising more?

:D Yes! And I certainly am 'struggling' up stairs regularly now. How much do unborn babies/placentas/amniotic fluid weigh? Because I'm really noticing the extra weight I'm having to carry around, and it will only get worse.

angel of the North- versus Angel of the South

Castles, cathedrals, ancient churches and the white cliffs? But if you mean sculptures, then I can't recall any. There are better sites to add one too, though.

angel of the North- versus Angel of the South

Erm, Kent is very much south... Having spent most of my life in Kent, I can't really see why anyone feels the need to add another landmark to it. The Angel of the North really is quite impressive though. I recall when I first saw images of the Angel on tv when it was erected and...

    I'm Back Again

Yes, we both do miss France a lot, but are enjoying Newcastle too. We've still got our house in France, so intend to return during the summer holidays, and maybe Easter too.

    I'm Back Again

I'm here! Nice to see you back here, Ally.:) We're now living in Newcastle (wasn't Fizzion a Geordie?) and are students at Newcastle uni doing GIS degrees. Next semester, we'll be taught how to create a relational database... I may be posting more on here, needing to know what tables...

    Happy birthday Tay

Salut Plymouth would certainly be a bit warmer than Newcastle, but they don't do the course we want. In fact, very few universities do. We had considered Bath, but the course doesn't look particularly challenging, and it is a very expensive area to live. We'll both be doing GIS...

    Happy birthday Tay

Cheers! Hope you have a good time when you're in France; you will probably arrive just as we leave.:( We're off to Newcastle in one week to become mature students (not that either of us are immature at the moment :D), so are busy preparing for life in the cold north of England.

    Col's last day

Congratulations! I'm not entirely sure how Rich will cope on his own with teaching our neighbours about how things should be done, politically. But, I am sure that you must be able to find time to drop in to give him some advice.;) If not, I am about to become a student again (in...

    The Meaning of Names

Thanks. Other than the blowtorches (and no, I don't blow hot!), I could only find reference to the Taymar heliport or a line of plastic product displays.

    The Meaning of Names

My name is Taymar, and I have no idea at all of its origins. I've Googled many times, but never found the answer.:(

    lovely day

Gary, I had the misfortune to grow up in the seaside retirement town of Herne Bay. On the plus side, I went to school in Canterbury, and worked there for a few years too. After uni, I ended up in Faversham before moving here. I liked Faversham, although not all of its inhabitants;) ; a much...

    What's your best/worst joke?

Here, the burgers come in packs of ten, rolls in packs of 6, and cheese slices in packs of 12. The most interesting part is that the cheese slices are square, the rolls are circular, yet the burgers are oval. France is a strange country...

    What's your best/worst joke?

I too thought that a budgie must be another word for a lesbian... I have since got the joke:o - for those who are a bit slow like me, a perch is a fish...

    Happy Birthday Rak!

An urgent assignment on your birthday?!?!? Don't they have hearts? I hope that your colleagues took you out to lunch. You wouldn't want to be in France at the moment - 90kph winds, grey and rainy. The weather always improves in March 15th, so make sure you visit after that!
