In re-hashing this inventory control with my wife. And after setting up tables and a few forms to test the relationships i already had set up, it seems best if i add "catagories" into the mix. I know this is, in all likelyhood a "newbie" question, but i just cant seem to grasp how this mix would...

Im not using any queries or SQL to accomplish this. Is that the secret? I have my relationships set up for a many to many, with cascading updates and deletes enabled. I thought i could design a form with a subform (enabled for Data Entry) that would accomplish this without running a query...

Ok...... I got my tables setup as dicussed in here . Relationships seem to be fine and dandy. But no matter what methods i try, i can not figure out how to make a form for data input that works. At times i think "I got it", but then Aceess complains about one field or other not being able to...

Thank you Thx Pat. :) I was kinda suspecting a many to many was what i needed. I just never worked with one before. I'll look for the exapmle and learn from that. But Ummmmmmm............... I'll be back im sure :cool:

I recently opened my BIG MOUTH and told my wife i would be happy to try and design a database to help her with inventory control. While i am still at the very beginning stages of table and structure design, i find myself at an impass right off. A limit of 255 fields per table. :confused...
