Copy of Form -- Button doesn't Work

Catalina, thanks for your help and suggestions. I just figured it out and it was staring me right in the face!!! I think I have been looking at this database too long. It's very massive and complex and I've got almost 4 months worth of work into it. Whew. Here's the answer: On the OnClick...

Copy of Form -- Button doesn't Work

Thanks so much for trying to help me. I have attached screen shots that may make it easier to understand. Look at the Main Form screenshot. This is my main form. You will see a button at the bottom called "Initiate Contract". When I click the button, it opens up the Contract Form. Look at...

Copy of Form -- Button doesn't Work

Thanks Catalina. I don't know VB and can't seem to find a way to create user levels within Access programming itself. What we have decided to do is alter copies of forms that users will get as fe's. It has been working so I don't know why I'm all of a sudden having an issue with this...

Copy of Form -- Button doesn't Work

I have a form with a button that opens another form if certain conditions are met. I made a copy of that same form without altering anything, just copy and paste, but when I click that same button on the copy of the form, it asks for a parameter value. Doesn't do this on original form. I've...

Return to Main form after Browse To

Title doesn't make a lot of sense but here's the explanation. FRM-All Properties contains subform FRM-Client Offers. FRM-Client Offers contains a field named 'Offer Status' On After Update of 'Offer Status' I have created a macro with an If statement that tells it to open the FRM-Initiate...

    Open Outlook from Access

Ken -- thanks for that. Unfortunately, I don't know VB, but am going to learn it as soon as I can free up some time. I have had to get into it and do a few minor tweaks to my program, but I couldn't actually write code myself. I'm going to copy this to keep for my future development!!! This...

    Hide/Disable File Tab on fe's

How do I hide or disable the File tab in Access 2010 on my front ends? The file tab being present allows end user to get into Privacy Options and Printing. Printing is okay if I could disable the Privacy Options for end users, then it wouldn't matter if they have access to the File Tab...

    Open Outlook from Access

Thanks Ken! I have never used this feature before but it is so cool in this particular database!!! It's one I did for a real estate company. Now when a property is assigned to one of the agents, it emails the agent a notification of a new property assignment! Woohoo! Love it!. Thanks for your...

    Open Outlook from Access

Ken, That's it! Thanks so much for your help! I still don't understand why the path to residential doesn't show on shortcut, but glad to find out where to find it anyway! Again, thanks!

    Open Outlook from Access

KenHigg, All the properties show is the shortcut path and not the path to its location. Never ran across that before. I mean, normally that's how I track down the original location of a shortcut. Sigh.

    Open Outlook from Access

I have a macro set to email a form to a person once a condition is met. This works fine but I've discovered that Outlook (2010) has to be open BEFORE this macro is invoked. I wanted to add a step to the macro before the one that makes it email that basically says to open Outlook. I have tried...

Limit Number of Selections in a Multiple Value List?

Thanks CJ! Least I know not to beat this horse then....sigh :-( I've really got to learn VB...but I'm too busy with so many projects I can't get to it...a Catch 22...knowing VB would help with all my projects, but deadlines won't allow for time to learn. Oh well. Thanks for responding to me!

Open another form if checkbox is checked

Thank you CJ...I didn't think o f nested If statements. Gonna give that a try. Can you tell I have an Excel background? LOL. I can easily do If statements in Excel with an AND but wasn't sure in Access and couldn't make it work.

Add return between entries in form field that allows multiple values

Thanks for the responses. My multivalue list is generated from a table, so I do have the capabilities of querying for properties by outside agent and other things. The list works great but I wish there was a way to limit the # of selections you can make. I posted about this in another forum...

Limit Number of Selections in a Multiple Value List?

Is it possible (without using VB) to limit the number of selections a user can make in a multiple value list? My list is one a form and when in the form field it brings up a total of 15 names with checkboxes, allowing you to "check" each name you want. However, I want to be able to have as...

Open another form if checkbox is checked

I am trying to write an IF statement as a macro on the OnClick property of a checkbox and can't get it to work, so I'm looking for help or even suggestions of a better way to accomplish this, if it can even be done. I don't see why it can't. Basically, if the checkbox is checked (for Yes) I...

Thanks Simon. I'm going to give tabs a try. I can see why this would be a better setup.
