    Verifying Records

Yeah...I always have questions as deadlines approach! I have an archive form that allows the manager to archive records and recover them in the future. At the moment, the records are archive to an archive table within the same database that the current records are held in. I was going to just...

    Multiple Input Mask Placeholders

Afloyd, Thanks...that's a good suggestion. I'm pretty stubborn and I can't believe that there is no way to use more then one place holder in the input mask. You're idea is really good. I will have to pass it by the customer. I'm also thinking about the possibility of chaning it over...

    Multiple Input Mask Placeholders

The problem results with date and months under 12. So if a user enters 8/12/2002 U.S. Gov and Military will think it is Dec 8, 2002 and Civilian will think the same date is August 12, 2002 So I just wanted to provide them with a guide so that they will remember that we are collecting data in...

How to make a field which has the SUM of other fields ?

Each error field is based on it's own table? So are you just counting the total number of records in all of the fields? I guess I don't understand the logic behind it.

opening forms based on report records

Just an idea..... On the print button you could insert some code into the OnClick event that would update a DatePrinted field of all the records in your report. Since I'm imagining that you're report runs on a filter/query...you would have to run an update query to do this!!! Good Luck!

    Something FUN!!!

Just an idea, but you can easily insert a panic button image and then write what ever code you want OnClick() or connect it to a hyperlink with some address that takes them to an online games page to work out their frustrations:D.....I don't know. I would just mention that an image...

    calculated field using dates

    IIF(([Actual Form]<7/01/02),Miles *.30,IIF(([Actual From]>07/01/02,Miles *.32,""))) Okay...I haven't tested it...but this should be close enough Syntax IIF((Condition),THEN, ELSE)

    Multiple Input Mask Placeholders

Okay..this should be simple. I'm using the short date input mask, but because some of our customers use dd/mm/yyyy and others use mm/dd/yyyy, our home office has chosen to stick with the standard of mm/dd/yyyy for the civilian sector. My question is....I would like to be able to use: 99/;0;m...

    Access World logo - volunteers?

DO WE GET TO VOTE? I think all of the Logo's the Jon likes should be placed on a page for us to vote on! BTW....wasn't there copy/trademark rights that must be taken into consideration when using the Microsoft Access logo?

    IIf statement query?

Hehe...I wasn't paying attention. I guess these pain killers are working well. I forgot to End If the nested If statements. Try doing that! I bet your worries will be over!!

    Ensure textbox holds 2 decimals

Remember that # is a place holder that can be left empty or filled. if you want to force two decimal points...you've have to go with !99999999.00 I'm sorry about misleading you on the #. I forgot that # will become a space if not filled in. 9 will just be blank The ! doesn't have to be...

    IIf statement query?

Did you remove the Case Else that you had at the end of your code? A simple Else without If is worth debugging...usually it's something very simple that may have been looked over.

    Ensure textbox holds 2 decimals

Okay...well...then Sebby was right....you'll have to use and input mask! Will you be limiting the numbers before the decimal point? If you will...then consider limiting the field size...that will help to prevent people from entering to much...but the input mask will work better. Use # for...

    IIf statement query?

Mesci, I don't uynderstand why you have chosen to create two Cases for the same conditions: Case "Pre 2002 Grading System %" If ([OSFinal Mark Awarded] >= 50) Then Me = "Pass" Case "Pre 2002 Grading System %" If ([OSFinal Mark Awarded] < 50) Then Me = "Fail" Case "2002 Grading System...

    Ensure textbox holds 2 decimals

In the table..or form..if you chose...set the fields formatting. Use two 00 (zeros) after a . (decimal point) to indicate that the user must provide two digits after the decimal point. 0.00;(0.00);;0.00 The first part says that normal values should be represented using at least one number...

    Unable to open database

How many concurrent users are accessing the database? Are the ldb files deleted everytime a user locks the database? What is the refresh interval in the database options menu? Is their a commonality amongst the user level priviledges that are locking the system? I'm not sure if the solution...

problem with page height when using tabs

Pauly.... I don't know exactly what I did to fix it, but I was having those same problems. I aloowed both scroll bar, auto resize.yes, auto center.no, and OnOpen() I have DoCmd.Maximize. I also went through and made sure the my form TabOrder began with an object the small upper portion of...

    Calculation problems

Potts, I know that this might sound a little strange, but I've always had the most success by breaking down the calculations. The Name# usually happend when you're requesting a calculation on something that the database doesn't know it exists. Sub Total is not a bound field...therefore it...

    Looking for Best Method

Fizzio, Interesting Suggestion. Unfortuantely, the user isn't forced to fill in any of the information at a specific time. This database tracks the progress or status of projects. So each time they enter information into the database, I need to reassess the project Stage that they are...

    Record! Not Enabled

Dawn, I'm assuming that you don't want to "lock" the field. What condition must be met for you to lock the field. If the tickbox must be filled in, then use and IF Statement to say If (Me.tickfield)=(-1) Then 'Checks to see if the field is true or in your case "Complete"...
