    Where to start.....

I tend to start from 2, haha, but yes your right I need to go back to basics with this. I thought it would be a simple project. I will draw up some designs and maybe come back with something more specific. Or scrap the project.

    Limiting Continuous Form Records

scalextric59 - The user was copying a pasting images from Excel which were inserted from a digital camera (thankfully not a very good one). The source files were just over 1MB therefore I presume it was copying the full image into the database with some bloat. It was this that was causing it to...

    Limiting Continuous Form Records

Thanks for your input dave. Yes the clicking idea would speed it up and has been suggested however the user is not happy with that approach. The only way I can think of doing it at the moment is to add 5 subforms, move to the appropriate record on load and then have a button which makes the...

Hi Bob, How do you actually get the JPEG images into the OLE? If I right-click it in Form View and Insert Object, there is only an option to insert a bitmap. Then if I create a new file I get a version of MS Paint come up with a Paste From option whereby I can paste in my JPEG. A bit long winded...

    Question Ebmbedding JPEG images

Hi Wazz, Thanks for the input. Yes I agree, so does the rest of the Internet population that embedding = bloating. As different PC's/Laptops will see the USB as different drive letters I am looking for a way to use a relative reference i.e. ..\Pictures rather than H:\Pictures, any ideas? I do...

    Date format problem

Hi all, Thanks for your input it is much appreciated. It seems that the orginal code is correct (what you would expect from an Access MVP). I just did not understand fully what it does. As Brian said it just formats the date input to what JET expects it to be. It was actually working in the...
