    Currency re-vamp

Similar situation in Australia... the Liberals are in their 3rd term, because Labor (the other "major" party) can't find a popular leader, and can't decide what their policies are... Such as the freedom to not vote? :D There's been a debate on compulsory voting in one of the other forums I'm...

    Vanishing text fields...???

OK, I've got a strange one here... I've got a report that has a bunch of figures & an optional comment field. If I look at the underlying query I can see all the comments. But when the report is produced, some of the comments don't show up  The textbox on the report is set to...

    Abandonware Campaign

Maybe I'm being cynical, but I think it's far more likely that the publishers, if convinced to do anything, will either: re-release the most sought after games on a budget label, or release a new sequel to them, requiring the latest graphics card to run & having the playability of a brick. :p

Is there a way to replace characters?

If you have your SQL command in your ASP, eg post="INSERT into MessagesTable(Message,MsgBy)values('" & message & "','" & msgby & "')" set post=con.execute(post) then a malicious user could set "msgby" to something like "0; xp_cmdshell 'format c:'" anything after the semicolon is treated as a...

    Help with + and &

A couple of things to look at... 1. Do you have to have the search items in the URL like that? The form's METHOD is obviously set as GET. If you set METHOD=POST then it will send "invisibly" and not have the same hassles. When receiving the data, you need to work with request.form("fieldname")...

    Best Free Games

A lot of what is supposedly "abandonware" has not formally been abandoned by their publishers. So they could take action against you (probably not likely to, but just so you know it's not technically legal) Some links to 100% legal free games (and links to links...) can be found at OCAU Wiki -...

    Avatars

Yep, animations are denied... I just saved MrsGorilla's avatar to my HDD (so it meets all size criteria), then tried to set it as mine. Computer says: You may not upload animated images.

    Arrays and the Split Function

I use split quite often for finding substrings. Say you have someone's fullname, eg Joe Bloggs, and just want their first name. Firstname = Split(fullname," ")(0) The (0) at the end returns the first element of the (zero-based) array.

    Replace "C:\TEST.XLS" with Environ("Userprofile") & "\Desktop" (assuming you're using an English-language version of Windows)

Error in Access 2003 Runtime MDE

(SOLVED) Error in Access 2003 Runtime MDE I am updating some databases from Access 2 MDB to Access 2003 MDE, to be used with the Runtime. In one of them I am getting an Error 7802: "That command isnt available in an MDE/ADE database". I searched the forums and found a similar thread, but that...
