Ok thats what I thought I have built a query however is there an easy way to switch the control source of the textboxes/comboboxes from one table to a query seeing as the control source only lists values in that table.

This maybe a stupid question but is it possible to sort records so they appear in alphabetical order in a form. I can do this if I have the name of the company as the primary key but I do not want to do this.

ahh yeah I see, i was looking there but missed the field. I had already done this what I wanted to know was if I select a record from the subform and save the mainform will this automatically link the two so that if Record 1 is displayed on the main form, and I select record 3 on the subform...

Hi I have created seperate tabs in a form, however if I put something in the second tab it will also appear on the first is there anyway to have it unqiue to the second tab.

Thanks for the reply however I got that issue sorted, however am having trouble with this post where if there is no dates due for renewal I still get the form pop up with no entries

I tried changing the code to this however this does not seem to work, the box does not appear if records are due for renewal.

Actually it started working for a while but now whenever I startup the popup box appears saying there are entrys for renewal followed by a blank form. I havent changed anything within the code the only thing I think I have done is add new records. There are no records due for renewal...

Ok sorted my problems over the weekend. I am now looking to add a second renewal date. In the same table is a renewal date for another item, at the moment this popup is in a seperate form however combining them into the same form is fine. How would I get the popup to check for the renewal...

Well there are dates set 01/11/2003, 01/11/2004 these appear in the query. When the database starts up the switchbaord appears but nothing else does. If i double click on the form Reminders the items are shown but this is not automatically displayed.

maybe I am doing something wrong with your database, whenever it loads the switchboard appears but nothing else does. If i change the dates nothing happens, the query works but it seems there is no popup.
