    Why is it summing? =SUM(Fields!ID.Value)

Nope. No grouping in that field. I have it grouped by Product Code and then Test type. The ID field is what links the two tables. what I have now is a main report (Product code, Test Type, Specie & Duration). I also have a subrpt with the results and values on it. I want to add the subrpt...

    Why is it summing? =SUM(Fields!ID.Value)

Why in the world is SSRS trying to Sum my Id field? Am I missing something? I know how to link a subreport to the main report now, but I need to do it on the ID field and it keeps wanting to sum that field and then it gets mad because it can't link! I'm thinking SSRS may not be the solution I'm...

    Question about SQL Reporting Services

Hello! I've very new to SQL. I have a database in MS Access that works fine and doesn't need to be converted to SQL. However, the Access reports are giving us problems. They keep splitting our data randomly. I've tried everything to stop this, but nothing works. Our IT guy said to try SQL...

CR is displaying value ID instead of Value

I'm using a trial version of CR 2008. I can't share the database because of company confidentiality. Sorry! I was monkeying around with the report again and I found that when I preview my problem subreport it displays everything fine, but when I preview the main report, that subreport won't...

CR is displaying value ID instead of Value

Well, I got one to work, but the other won't. I'm not sure how I did it though. I kept them as Text Boxes and it helped with the one subreport, but not the other. I'll keep at it. Thanks for your help!

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

That's all there is to the design! Sometimes Access displays it with the subreports white and other times it shows them as subreports. It looks white because the subreports are all squished together. I was just playing around to see if that would help things. I'm still very new to Access...

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

sorry if the picture wasn't clear, but they are all separate. I had just squshed them together to see if it made a difference. Each subreport was added individually to the main report.

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

You must have a newer version of Access than me. :) I'm using 2000. I inherited this db when I took this job. All of the reports were already made and I knew NOTHING about Access. Within this main report there are many different subreports, but not all the supreports appear if there is no...

CR is displaying value ID instead of Value

They were all set to Text Box, except one. And that one, when I switched it from combo to Text Box, did the same thing to the table! Instead of P >0; 0<1; 1<2, etc, it says 3; 2; 1!!!! The same thing that CR was doing! Here is pic of what the two of them are doing. CR was doing the ID thing...

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

Hopefully this will help! I think the problem is with the main report, not the subreports. If you want me to do the same for them let me know! Thanks for your help!

CR is displaying value ID instead of Value

No, I have Values in there. ID isn't on the report. It's not even grouped by it. Any other ideas?

CR is displaying value ID instead of Value

Got a little problem. I'm experimenting with Crystal because Access is splitting my data. Here is the set-up: Report Header with company logo Detail Section with 9 subreports (each has their own 'detail section'). Report Footer The problem is with some of the subreports. When I insert...

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

So there is no way to stop it from splitting the data, other than inserting page breaks every time it splits? Many people use this database and very few have any knowledge of Access. Would it be better to have permanent page breaks (after each section) and not worry about all the wasted space?

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

I still can't get it to work! I've tried everything! If I get one subreport to fit, then another one splits! Is there some kind of coding I can do so that if it doesn't fit on the page it will start it at the top of the next? I've tried different settings, but none seem to do the trick. Any...

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

Thanks! Ok, this particular report is 8 pgs. They vary in length depening on how many studies were conducted on them. It's kind of hard to see, but I circled the part where it split the data. On this report it split the genetic data; on other it will split the Environmental Fate, etc. It...

Report is splitting data onto 2 pages!!

Well, the data is confidential. I can't show it to anybody outside of the company and it's customers. It doesn't do it on every report. See, since the amount of data on each product varies, the report is a different length depending on the product. Sometimes the report works fine and other...
