    Need help with DLookup

Sorry, when I said syntax, i meant I had the arguments in the right place: =DLookup ("YourFIELDNameHere", "YourTableNameHere", "AnyCriteriaHere") The FunctionID is numeric. You gave me a hunch though. FunctionID isn't actually an object on the report but it is a field in the controlsource...

    Need help with DLookup

Thanks Bob. Well I do have the syntax right. I tried your code but it did the same thing: still asking for a FunctionID value. I triple-checked to see if FunctionID was in the controlsource and it is.

    Need help with DLookup

Hey guys- I am treading on unchartered waters here I have never used the dlookup function and reports are generally a problem area for me. But I'm trying to implement dlookup into a textbox in the detail section of a report and I can't seem to get it to work right. But when I run it, it is...

    Yes to All button...msgbox, assistant.doalert?

Thanks David. I was able to get the button to change using the UI, but I can't figure out how it does it. I stepped through it and the msgbox fucntion shows 35 for the Buttons Agrument, and the rest of the args seem pretty straightforward. Is there something I'm missing?

    Yes to All button...msgbox, assistant.doalert?

Hey guys- I'm trying to figure out an easy way to get a Yes to All Button to appear on a msgbox type dialog but I'm not having much luck. I've tried Assistant.DoAlert, and that only displays an OK button. I think I'm looking at just making a custom form to do this; but more than anything I'm...

Question Removed form is still in VB

Found a fix for my problem: 1) Make a new database file. 2) Create a form in the new db with the same name as the one still showing in VB. 3) Exit new db file. 4) Open the old database containing the corrupted form. 5) Import the new form from the new database. 6) Delete the imported form...

    Form just won't open

It's really just populating text boxes. Just for the heck of it, I tried to delete the open form code and it causes Access to error out. Private Sub Form_Load() Dim rsProduction As ADODB.Recordset Dim rsSubFunction As ADODB.Recordset Dim rsFormSetup As ADODB.Recordset Dim rsAppendTracking As...

    Form just won't open

only thing I can see is the underlying VB code I have for it. What is frustrating is that I know when it's being corrupted, and I don't know how to make it not happen. I also tried to open w/ quotes around the openarg....would it stop design view also?

Sorting Date Columns in Crosstab Query

Thanks for the advice on the readable format :) I'll def start doing that. The Aerial, Underground and Unit are the crosstab columns and the crosstab values are numeric. I'm just trying to get it to order by the numeric values in the Aerial Column. Before: Notes Tracking Contractor...

Sorting Date Columns in Crosstab Query

Hi guys, I'm having a similar problem. I think I'm pretty close after I added the IN clause, but it still isn't sorting by my order by column. In the following code, I'm trying to get it to sort by the "Aerial" column: TRANSFORM Sum(tblProductionInputDetail.ProductionUnits) AS...

    Are you an atheist?

Even if evil has no criteria to become a necessary truth, that does not deny it's existence. That being said, your paradigm is the only way i've come remotely close to reconciling myself. I take the agnostic POV. However I can never give up an opportunity to play devil's advocate (no pun...

    Are you an atheist?

It isn't about being right, it's about being evil. Regardless of who is right, there is a party that sees eating dogs as being evil, therefore there is an evil that exists. If God is- 1) All Good 2) All Knowing 3) All Powerful then one must forfeit at least one of the three to reconcile the...

    Locked out of Database

Well this is the second time this week I've managed to screw up my db file. I have the FE secured via User Level and in the startup window I disabled everything. I also have it set to DisableBypassKey, so no shift on startup. I thought the startup form that I chose had the EnableByPassKey...
