    Query Calcs using dates

Side note: The view I attached was from the query, not a table. maybe that's why they're left justified?

    Querying dates from multiple tables

We tried that at one time. The problem we ran into was we had occurences of two people trying to edit the same record at the same time and getting error messages. So, we thought it would work better to have separate tables. That way, Team 1 is only editing Table 1, Team 2 is editing Table 2...

    Query Calcs using dates

Thanks. I appreciate the thought, but I don't see any reason why these should be left justified. And again, it works sometimes, but on occasion not.

    Querying dates from multiple tables

I am trying to compare dates between multiple tables and retrieve the latest date. Basically: 1 - I have a master table that records work requests given to the group. 2 - I have 9 different tables, one for each team in the group. Each team gets handed different parts of one task and reports...

    Query Calcs using dates

Getting into more detail, the Rev1 and Rev2 dates are also calculated in the query, but they display the correct dates. I don't think it could be because of multiple calculations, could it?

    Query Calcs using dates

I wouldn't this it's the data type. They're just dates. How odd. But thanks for looking! I'll go back and double check the types but i'm sure they're fine. What's so odd is that it generally works, but only occasionally seems to get backwards.

    Query Calcs using dates

this may seem silly, but I have a query in which I want to create a field called "qryLastDate" that will contain the later of two dates, Rev1 and Rev2. In the datasheet, sometimes it works and sometimes it's backwards. What am I missing? Thanks! qryLastDate: IIf([Rev1]>[Rev2],[Rev1],[Rev2])...

Combo Box and auto filling fields

Dude! You ARE the man! Things are working now and I've been working through the Name Conventions. Great Help to someone who has had to learn on the fly. I also now understand the difference between Me! and Me. Can't tell you why the guy who set it up did it the way he did. I'm just trying...

Combo Box and auto filling fields

Thanks for your advice! Believe me, I understand the naming thing. I didn't start the db, a fellow worker did, got it kinda running and then left. I've been shaking my head the entire time as he did a bunch of things in a rush and literally left the day after he said "Here you go". I've just...

Combo Box and auto filling fields

Combo Box and auto filling fields

ok.. after a little work stripping down data and forms not necessary for this exercise, I got down to an acceptable file size. Attached is a zip MJS. if you unzip this to a folder on your C drive called "MJS" the tables should maintain their relationships. In it there is: 1 - RunThisFile -...

Forms not opening at the top

Got it! Turned out the subform actually did not have ENOUGH space. On a lark I tried resizing both sub forms and I added height and that did it. Go figure.

Forms not opening at the top

Well, I think it was a good effort, but it's got to be something else. i don't seem to get any change. Further, there's a near identical form with regard to information type and form heights and that one opens at the top of the form even though there is nearly twice as much form as can fit on...

Forms not opening at the top

ok... I remembered where tab order was under the 'design' options. but I don't see anything out of order nor any difference between this form and the other.

Due to the size of the form, the design view screen shot is in two views 3 and 4.
