    Time limits on accessability

I want to distribute an app that provides password access for a 6 month period after which time a new password has to be issued by me to the end user for them to continue. This means that I don't lose control of the programme. Is this possible or are then other ideas to protect the app - I have...

    multi user access

Update please I read your posts with interest, the only problem I have found is that you cannot link to an FTP server - it is reported elsewhere. Are there any other type of servers available to Joe public that would work? The only alternative that someone suggested to me was to upsize to...

Linking tables to FTP site error

Update please Your posts have hit the nail on the head for me - however I find it complex. I have split my database and put the back end on my FTP site - and of course I have got the invalid messages. I would be most grateful if you could elaborate on exactly how to carry out the procedure you...

Can you use multiple weeks in DatePart

The only thing with the last solution is that it involves an extra action by the user - currently the report is generated from the Switchboard - whereas this method means opening the form and then hitting the command button, it also shows the criteria boxes along the way. Is there an...

Thank you, that was all extremely helpful

Can you use multiple weeks in DatePart

Absolutely spot on, however this presents a problem with the report as the heading uses the week numbers (previously entered in criteria) to identify the weeks the report refers to ie: ="Report for week : [Enter week number: 1,2,3,4 etc NOT 01,02] I have treid chasnging it to the string but it...

Can you use multiple weeks in DatePart

Thought of that but it doesn't work, perhaps I should show you the query as per the attached screen shot - what I want to do is enter more than one week number when prompted by the criteria.

Can you use multiple weeks in DatePart

I'm using the following in a query qwhich allows me to enter the week number as the criteria: DatePart('ww',[Visitdate],2,2) This works fine , no problems. What I would like to know, is it possible to enter muliptle week numbers in the criteria, say 14 16 21 to give me output for those weeks...

DatePart will only accept 6th Jan 2005 as week 2

Thanks for that, there must be differences on which version you use - the final solution I found was as follows: Weeknum: DatePart('ww',[Visitdate],2,2) The first 2 makes the start of the week default day Monday, the second 2 makes the first week of the year the one that has at least 4 days...

DatePart will only accept 6th Jan 2005 as week 2

I'm still stuck - I can't logically see how I do this, my query criteria is as follows: Weeknum: DatePart('ww',[Visitdate]) What do I need to add (exactly please) so that it defaults to option 2 as the first week of the year (this is the one where it needs to have at least 4 days for the first...

DatePart will only accept 6th Jan 2005 as week 2

I did see this but no explanation or examples - if I want to make the 1st January as week 1 every year what do I need to put in as firstweekofyear, is it simply 1 or do I put =1 after the expression

DatePart will only accept 6th Jan 2005 as week 2

I can find nothing in the help files that explains how to set the first week of the year. The query is also for selecting records to output to a report - not a form. Thanks anyway, I will look elsewhere.

DatePart will only accept 6th Jan 2005 as week 2

No, I didn't know you could set any - presumably you have to set them each year then? I simply used 'ww' and the Mydate field with the criteria [Enter week number] and then another with 'yyyy' and the Mydate field with the criteria [Enter year] I have searched to find more information about...

DatePart will only accept 6th Jan 2005 as week 2

When using 'ww' as the criteria in the DatePart calculation it will not accept 1 for 6th Jan 2005 which is week 1, you have to enter 2 and it will select it, in fact all the weeks so far in 2005 are out by 1. To cure it you can add on -1 to the query and it works fine until you go back to the...

Can you query by week number rather than between dates

Is it possible to use the computers date time as the default year - the limitations with this is that it would also need to be set so that if the week selected is not possible for the current year ie selecting week 52 in Febuary - then it would choose the previous year in the calculation?
