    Transferring Database data

'lo all, I've been altering a database in a 'test' enviroment for sometime now, and am reasonable happy with the way this one has developed - however, in order to save me from having to make many changes all over again to the 'official' database, is there anyway I can transfer the data over...

    Conditional Adding

=Sum(IIf([Flight Requested] And Not [flight booked],1,0)) Seems to work fine, would it cause any problems?

    Conditional Adding

After thinking on about this one, I realise that I need something along the lines of: Count If (Flight requested = 1 & Flight booked = 0) But I don't know where to find the appopriate Access commands. The logic of the above would work though, right?

    Conditional Adding

Hello again, In my report I have Flight_requested, and Flight_booked (both tick boxes) - What I need to know is, is there a way so that if Flight requested is ticked and flight booked isn't, the totals at the end add one to the flight requested tally - however, if both requested and booked are...

    Two date ranges, one query?

Thanks for that - I won't have time to try it just yet though. As for splitting them into two seperate queries, I've thought about that too - it'd certainly have saved me a headache.... I shall report back tomorrow with my findings...

Hello all, Straight into the question, before I confuddle myself more.... There are two date fields, date requested and date booked - I need it to be so that when the user enters the date range - both of the fields are checked independantly, and the relevant records are processed.. This...

    Newbie-styled help with reports

Not today though, What would be the best way to go about setting up the criteria, so that it only shows values that are below the input value, and yet still show zeros, where appropriate? <[forms]![Flight Report]![edate] I thought that the above code would work, which it does.. to a certain...

    Newbie-styled help with reports

Another question along these lines, the report has two dates (one request date, one booking date) and needs both these to be shown on the report - which isn't that much of a problem (I think) The thing is - the date booked should not be allowed to go over the entered date range, I'm looking for...

    Showing numbers as text

Hello again - thanks for taking the time out to help I added to my query a new field, which looks like: txtPriority: IIf([Priority]=1,"High",IIf([Priority]=3,"Low","Medium")) Which doesn't seem to work, where have I gone wrong?

    Showing numbers as text

No sooner do I figure out something than I stumped by another, I have an options box on my form - one that produces a number from 1 - 3 to indicate the priority of the task - 1 being the highest, 3 the low - these are shown up as numbers when a report is produced. Question is: Is there...

    Turning ticks into numerical values?

I deserved that :( The question you should've asked is "Did you type the field name in properly, you silly silly person?" Doh... Works now! :)

    Turning ticks into numerical values?

Thanks - the report no longer says error, but now comes up with a zero as the value? No matter which bit of code I use... Is there anything I should have selected that I could've missed?

    Turning ticks into numerical values?

Decided to go for the Report Footer route, but am struggling with that too (darn it) =Sum(Abs([Flight_Booked]))=Sum(IIf([Flight_Booked],1,0))=Sum(IIf([Flight_Booked]=False,1,0)) Which just results in an error (the field name is Flight Booked)

In need of a book about Reports...

Since I seem to have forgotten all about them... What would you recommened as a good book for the more advanced versions of reports? It'd be handy if it'd be available from my local Waterstones or something, but if it needs to be ordered online that's fine too... Thanks for any suggestions
