    Frustrated

Access 2010. I've re-written a database in version 2010 to mimic the old 2003 version, but this time I've normalized it. I have a total of 12 tables (so far). I'm using one form for all 12 tables. I have a one-to-one relationship from one table to the other eleven. I've input dummy data and...

    Help!

I'm not too familiar w/relational databases, but I'm trying my best to make this work. I'm improving the old w/the new. I hope you can open my Word 2010 file (.docx) I've attached. In reading my attachment, my question is: Am I on the right track? Thank you!

I think what I can also do is name a field Example1a and Example1b in order to separate one scenario from the other. It might be easier to do it this way. Still thinking...

Same field names - two different tables

So, Scenario A table and Scenario B table. Where data is not collected in one table, it might be recorded in the other table. Two different tables for two different scenarios, but when I run a query or report I want to pull the data from both in order to get one result.

Same field names - two different tables

Elaboration. Basically, I would be plugging data into one of two tables with some of the same fields and would like to run a query/report on those particular fields and get one result. Two different inputs...one output. See attachment. Thanks!

Same field names - two different tables

Greetings. Access 2010. I've created a table utilizing certain fields that may be necessary during scenario A. However, if scenario A doesn't apply to the situation...then scenario B can come into play. The fields are the same, but can be recorded in either situation...not both. When I run...

    Calendar Control vs. Date Picker

Greetings. So, two years ago I customized a database to suit our office statistical needs. It's been working like a charm. I created it in 2003, but now our office is migrating to Windows 7 (MS Access 2010). 2010 will not open my 2003 version based on a 'MACAL.OCX' error. I think I've...

    Import data after the fact

It's not liking me Bob. In the SQL view it starts with: SELECT; I've pasted the first line of your response replacing my TABLEname and FIELDname, but it keeps telling me: "The SELECT statement includes a reserved word or an argument name that is misspelled or missing, or the puncuation is...
