Date format in a VLookup formula

Try : - =VLOOKUP(E3,Repricing,6,FALSE)&" - "&" Mat "&Year(VLOOKUP(E3,Repricing,13,FALSE))&"/"&Month(VLOOKUP(E3,Repricing,13,FALSE))&"/"&Day(VLOOKUP(E3,Repricing,13,FALSE)) It's a bit long though, you 'may' want to look into a udf but that can impact upon performance.

    Frequency Macro

Post a sample workbook of 2 days input and how that comes out in sheet 3 (colour them differently so we see the relationship) explain how any analysis is done and make sure you put some comments in your recorded macro. Comment lines are started with an apostrophe ' . Make the comments so we can...

Help with a formula in Excel

"More Simpler" ??? How old are you ? "as originally indicated" How do you mean ? I said you could substitute values into the equations if you didn't need the flexibility of the reference cells. What is this for ?

Help with a formula in Excel

Give this a try, you can hard code your values if you need to but I thought this might give you more options.

    Moving text to other columns

You are quite right I am a hypocrite ! But I do subscribe to services which block spam ... I "should not" get "telephone calls" making "offers", I "should not" get "emails" making "offers" and I "should not" get "snail mail" making "offers" I abhor ALL of them. (unfortunately 'some' crap still...

Data would be good, along with an example of a question and it's answer.

    Do Until....LOOP

Your sig was fine, you just don't think it applies to you. I see you've changed it, so that you don't have to explain my last comment. My frustration stems from dealing with idiots and I can only think of one, that I've had to deal with in the last year or so. It's good that you not start a fire...

Well ... having read his signiture ... either he hasn't ... or he doesn't understand it ... and/or he is just an abrasive character ... I'm abrasive too (sometimes :) ) ... but I think this is the last time I'll bother with him. If ANYONE can point out how we were supposed to get to post #7...

    Do Until....LOOP

No, I'm not. No, as your range selection technique is pretty much the same. So you think that may be why you can't explain what you want and similary I can't understand it ??? It was a post not a thread, a thread is the whole conversation. If that's what you want then try this :- Sub...

    Command Button to clear dropdowns

You have not qualified your objects so Excel does not know what you are talking about. Assuming you have renamed your combobox to "DropDown4" then you would need to use :- me.dropdown4.clear and me.dropdown7.clear me.dropdown7.additem "Choose From List" although this will cause you problems later.

    Do Until....LOOP

I must be really dense. What you asked for is exactly what your first sub does. If there is a problem with it waiting for a cell in column G to be empty you have not identified it. What other condition do you wish to impose ? If we start by looking at column G and process that to find an empty...
  18. unmarkedhelicopter

    Do Until....LOOP

I assume you are trying to replicate the functionality of your first sub in your second ? but if you hard code ranges like this "G2", "H2" etc. then you will have to "hard code" every single cell you wish to consider. If you don't have a break in your data (with first sub) it will just go down...

    column widths

Think about what you said here ... Think about how 'you' would store information that has to be grid tabulated and occupy 1 of 256x65k cells x however many sheets you have (even more from 2007) What you are looking for is a free form graphical layout with each area custom formatted with those...
