    Access runs much better on a wired network as it greatly reduces the chance of packets of info going missing. Also a wired network should give faster performance than wireless

    What version of access are you using? If it is 2k and you do not have the latest service pack on it (its either 2 or 3) then "Could not update currently locked by user..." is a known issue. Update all your PCs' with the latest SP.
