May not be an access question! Develop in Windows deploy on Mac!

OK cool. I'll go take a look at what they do. Thanks.

May not be an access question! Develop in Windows deploy on Mac!

Yes I know but I'd obviously forgotten that by the time I'd responded to Isaac! I've been looking at running Windows on the Mac and doing it all in access. The emulator on Macs I believe is something called boot camp. My user has a 10 year old Mac and doesn't have boot camp. The other...

May not be an access question! Develop in Windows deploy on Mac!

Funnily enough I actually have another guy I do some work for and we have 1 access licence on a server where he works and everybody RDPs in. The boss actually has a mac (with the emulator on as well!). With your solution I think we'd need to get an access licence which will double the price...

May not be an access question! Develop in Windows deploy on Mac!

Why not OpenOfficeBase? I'm playing around and it's a bit naff but for a simple DB may be OK. I discounted FileMaker for the same reason as you. One reason I'm shying away from access is the Windows emulator. I don't think it comes with a Windows emulator there are plenty around. I'm pretty...

    Printer problems

Not anymore. They used to use one of those small receipt printers as well as a standard A4 printer. It's all A4 now. Needless to say having 2 printer types was a bigger problem!

    Printer problems

Is there any way to capture the wobble before the wobble itself!? Also why, in my example, does the wobble emanate itself in 2 different ways and, looks like I forgot to add it to original post, but I have a 3rd case where the report is displayed without a wobble. This is more or less the same...

    Printer problems

I'm supporting a small single user system that is deployed to various laptops. Other than the faults and bugs I've introduced myself the things that give me most problems are printers. They, the problems, don't always appear to be linked to the printers. I have had many and varied problems...

May not be an access question! Develop in Windows deploy on Mac!

I've been asked to develop a small database. It'd fairly trivial to do in access but to deploy to a Mac I'd have to get them to install some sort of version of Windows, they'd have to but an access license and if anything goes wrong which turn out to be environmental I can't really test. So...

    me.dirty problem

Right so the code was introduced on the close button to cover the fact that in most cases a firm is bound? But! This doesn't fail in access 2016 and 2010. I only found it because I deployed the code to a machine that runs 2007. Don't know why I'm surprised! I'll comment out the code!

Is there a brexit problem - with the website? (serious question!!)

It's totally weird. This year I've only managed to access the site on a handful of occasions. Looking back that was probably on my phone and through VPN.

Is there a brexit problem - with the website? (serious question!!)

I've started using the website again and more often or not it's not accessible. I put it down to it being off line for some reason or other but when it started getting really irritating I used some website to see if was down or not and it can back that it was up and running and accessible from...

    me.dirty problem

Yes the form is open. It doesn't have a recordsource. This code is generated when I use the wizard to close the form - this is when using 2007 2010 or 2016 access. It works in access 2010/2016 but not in 2007. I'm going to get rid of the code but IO like to know why it's failing.

    me.dirty problem

Sorry a pandemic got in the way of this and I just commented the code out on the offending machine. However need to do it properly now and the above didn't work. Falls over on the "if me.Dirty" bit with error 2455

    Last objects to be updated

Thank you for all the replies. In the end I used a query using MSysObjects which has last modified date and has allowed me to suss it out!

    Last objects to be updated

Unfortunately I don't have that luxury but here's what I did. I think you've misunderstood about the date. The properties date is correct but you have to look at each in turn or run a report and plough through the report which is what I'm doing now. The bit that would have been good would be to...

    Last objects to be updated

I want to know what the last set of objects to be updated are. I know I can display objects in order of last modified but the results are limited in that it appears to display those recently modified, those modified with 2 weeks and those older. Unfortunately the changes were made just before...

    me.dirty problem

OK after investigating the weird issue I found that I'd commented the if me.dirty line and just closed the form!! I'll do that again!

    me.dirty problem

I have just completed some very small enhancements to a small system. This was with access 2016. I have deployed the software to 2 machines. 1 is using either 2010 or 2016 access the other is , I think 2007. On the 2007 machine he is getting an error to a form that has not changed and worked...
