    Sure glad it worked. But quit should close everything or at least prompt you. Worksheets are a child of the application (they don’t appear on the task manager only EnumWindowProc is used.) so that implies that quit had been refused or is static. Sounds like a bug. Was visible true?

    You can think of the recordset clone as the copy of the recordset the form uses which is linked to the actual recordset. The word 'clone' is a bit misleading like you can see it is a pobject not a cloning function. I would call it RecordsetLinkedCopy or s'thing. ;)

    You want to quit the application before you set to nothing. This is not the same as closing the worksheet. Seting to nothing doesn't kill the application. However you can't expect an application to quit emmediately it takes time.

    If this is a subroutine for an instanced event on a form then the format does not usually allow for shortening. This is because a number is past into FormatCount for use in the procedure if you need it. Just like KeyPress the keyAscii is passed into the procedure.
