    Data on Subform

Hi Cindy - Everytime we drive through Grants Pass we stop for ice cream at some place my husband just loves and he calls the town Grass Pants. Silly : ) I think what I was getting at with your tables is that if you have an ID (autonumber or other) for your Parent in the Parent table...

    Data on Subform

Hi Cindy - It sounds like you really just need ONE parent table, with a FK to the student table. That way you can have as many parents as you need per student. Then when you called up a student OR parent you would have access to the associated parent or student. Would that work for you? Jennifer

attaching photos as data in a form

I would create a field in your table with an OLE datatype and then embed the photos. Jennifer [This message has been edited by JCross (edited 03-12-2002).]

to subform or not to subform

Hi Katy 88 - If you have one table with all of the patients demographic info, and then another table with the waitlist info (possibly more than one record per patient) - then store the PaitientID as FK in the Waitlist table. Next Create a form/subform. The wizard is good just to see what it...

    User levels

From Access Help File: By using the User-Level Security Wizard, you can apply user-level security with a commonly-used security scheme and encrypt your Microsoft Access database. 1)Open the database that you want to secure. 2)On the Tools menu, click Security, and then click User-Level...

    Automation for daily task.......

The thing is that the subform is set to 'continuous forms' - so each line in the table is it's own separate form....which means that I have one combo box (or text box) for the field that I want to maybe loop through the PLU's and put them in sequentially? To look like this: line 1 - PLU#1 - #...

Combo box not finding record (sort of)

Here we are bumbling about and there is probably a simple answer (but i don't know what it is). One easy way to go in and look at code while it is running is to just click on the grey space next to the line you want to look at and a reddish dot will appear. then when the code is running on your...

Combo box not finding record (sort of)

May have to wait for someone else to answer this one : ) Where in the code does it take you? Did you try stepping through your code to see where the glitch happens? As far as your users having access to your code, I've been giving my users MDE files instead of the db frontend just for that...

    Automation for daily task.......

Hi all - I have a form 'frmSalesMix, and a subform 'sfrmSalesMix'. Each day my users will enter the date, and then the same 20 rows of information in the same sequence. These rows are stored in tblSalesMix_Details. Each row has the SalesMixID (associated with the date in tblSalesMix), a PLU...

Combo box not finding record (sort of)

Would putting a error msgbox in the notinlist event of the combo box solve that problem? (limit to list must be set to 'yes') Also - in the query that populates the combo box, you should have the customer number, and then the name sorted ascending.....the row source is the query, and the...

Combo box not finding record (sort of)

Assuming that each person has a first name, last name, and ID number - why would you want to be able to bring them up only by first name? I think you should have ONE combo box with their ID, Lastame, FirstName and then bring up the record based on that choice. Jennifer (remus?) [This message...

How do I copy the North Wind orders form

I would reccomend picking up a good reference book - because what you are trying to do is simple and can be done quickly with wizards. A good reference book will allow you to access all kind of answers really quickly.(my saviors have been the Access 2000 Bible and VBA Handbook) You can copy and...
