    Some checkboxes are 'blue'

He could be using a SQL Server back end if they fixed the issue with null-valued bit fields being unreadable in Access.

    Some checkboxes are 'blue'

They probably have NULL values. Have you looked at their values in the underlying table?

    Run Code to Update

If all you want to do is re-run the Form.Load event after the pop-up form closes, do the following: Change your code that opens the pop-up to: DoCmd.OpenForm "Stuff", , , , , acDialog Call Form_Load Make sure to add any other parameters you already use in the OpenForm command, but make sure you...

    Login Form

If the OP wants, I can provide some easy-to-use hashing functions I found for MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512. They're basic hashing, however, and don't include salting (which may not be needed depending on the level of security you want).

    Question Surviving using Access

External Data - Access only allows you to select one database at a time, but you can select or deselect any number of objects at once, even all of them. Just click on the ones you want - you can't shift- or ctrl-click, but just clicking item names works like ctrl-click does in most apps. If...

Concatenate Column Values from Multiple Rows into a Single Column

In answer to your question, try using the REPLACE function on the string in question and replace all apostrophes with two apostrophes (NOT the quote (") character- two consecutive apostrophe characters). This tells the compiler that the apostrophe is part of the string.

Multi-Select Listbox as filter for Query field

Re: Monthly Report based on Crosstab Query Actually, yes it is. It's also the only solution that's likely to work, as you can't do what you're asking for in that screenshot with a single crosstab query. Not in Access, anyway.

Query Two Tables with Different Fields

Heh. I work in health insurance, so 'slow' isn't exactly an option for us lately. Now, getting the various government agencies we interact with to change something, on the other hand - THAT is a freaking nightmare.

Query Two Tables with Different Fields

Believe it or not, there are ways to normalize even this kind of inspection setup. What I'm thinking of would involve tables for inspection type, inspection 'list', and inspection items. It would be a fair amount of work, however. Just keep in mind that NOT normalizing things will make things...

Alter a table's Data Type based on the data within the field

You also need a way to deal with 'numeric' fields that require leading zeros to remain, such as account, contract, and invoice numbers and ZIP codes. And also to account for false-positives for IsNumeric when checking something like '123456d7'.

    Suddenly non updateable recordset

I've never heard of that happening before.

    Suddenly non updateable recordset

Another thought: is the table a linked table? And did someone relink it just before this started happening?

    Calculated field

I don't have a lot of time at the moment, but if your runways are already assigned to airports (and they damned well should be), then you don't need to add AirportID to tblAircraft, since it's implicit in the relationship to RunwayID. It sounds like you need to work out exactly how to handle...

Forms don't show in Split DB FE

Yep, popup forms are completely separate from the application window, and if you haven't flagged them to be opened centered, will appear wherever they were when you saved them. The fact that you work on your second monitor, assuming your task bar is on the first monitor, means that there's a...

Forms don't show in Split DB FE

Easy fix if I'm right. Pop-ups suck that way sometimes.

Forms don't show in Split DB FE

Here is a silly question. Do both you and your co-worker use the same number of monitors, and in the same basic placement?

What's the best/worst video game of all time?

...and now I have the Skyrim theme stuck in my head.

What's the best/worst video game of all time?

I always tended more toward melee in Skyrim. After maxing out and creating sufficient buffing items for enchantment, smithing, and alchemy, it wasn't hard to create a light armor set that hits the armor max (don't even need buffing for heavy armor to reach it), as well as a two-hander that will...
