Maybe you can explain to me why my PeopleID won't write to tblNotes and PeopleID and FamilyID won't write to tblPhone. I know this is a newbie issue but I can't figure it out.

That one I resolved with the sfrmPeopleID text box on the main form. I'm using it as a link between the family and people (Neighbors) subform. There was a posting on 7/30/10 with a similar problem and this was vbaInet's solution. I wasn't sure why you wanted the db.

I've sanitized my db but something isn't working correctly. The record indicators advance but the same person will be there, then finally the next will show. I thought it was in a query but can't find where the problem is. My form shows the PK and FKs as I've been trying to troubleshoot why...

Is there an easy way for me to copy my forms and queries from one database to another? I have a scaled down table in the other database.

It will take a while to sanitize my db and post. I may have to though. For some reason when I enter new data, the FK are not being recorded in the underlying queries. I thought this would take an hour to solve and I've been at it for 7 hours.

I found a thread dated 7/30/10 where someone posted a similar question vbaInet suggested using a text box on the main form and having it be the the link to the two subforms. That worked except for on my last record--not sure what's different about it.

Nope, that's not going to help. I've got to show the Address so my main form can't be unbound.

Hi All, I had a form (Address) containing a subform (People) and the main form was based on a query, qryNeighbors--everything worked. Then I realized I actually needed a tab control to show multiple families living at the address. So each tab would represent a family and contain the subform...

I finally figured it out. I placed my subform in a subform container on the tab control so I needed to reference the subform container not the subform. YAY!!! It works!

BIG HEAD THUNK!!! My "Neighbors Subform" is sitting in my "ChildFamily1" subform container. I've made the reference change and now my code works! Now onward to functioning tabs…this is progress! Fingers crossed

I see it as the address never changes but the families come and go. In a company, I think the db would be driven by the people table but this is a neighborhood, so I see the db being driven by the address table.
