Exporting Objects from 64-Bit File for 32-Bit File

Thank you for your help Paul! I have successfully been able to convert from a 64-Bit Access File that was made in Access 2013 to a 32-Bit File that is now compatible with Access 2007. Gotta love Microsoft and their backwards compatability! Nonetheless thank you very much. The steps you...

Exporting Objects from 64-Bit File for 32-Bit File

Paul I think I am going to have to start paying you a consulting fee now! I really do appreciate the prompt responses. Are you using Microsoft Access 2007, 2010, or 2013? I am assuming you are probably using 2010?

Exporting Objects from 64-Bit File for 32-Bit File

Because when I try opening the file in a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office it gives me an error saying that the file has an "unrecognised database format". When I try opening that same file in a 64-bit version of Microsoft Access it opens up as expected.

Exporting Objects from 64-Bit File for 32-Bit File

I am trying to import the objects to the 32-bit file. The problem is that Microsoft Access imports the objects into the file and then converts the file into a 64-bit file. Is that what is supposed to happen?

Exporting Objects from 64-Bit File for 32-Bit File

Thank you for the quick response Paul; however the issue here is that I have created the file in the 64-Bit version of Microsoft Access. As a result the file doesn't even open on a 32-bit installation. I reviewed the code in your post; however I am unclear as to where I would actually enter...

Exporting Objects from 64-Bit File for 32-Bit File

I have spent the better part of this past week developing an application for my staff; however I did so on my laptop and my laptop is currently running a 64-bit version of Microsoft Access. My staff currently has a 32-bit version of Microsoft Access on their computers - what can I do? I have...

Attachments Will Not Show in SubForm

I have a table called "tblTasks" and the table allows users to attach files to a task they wish to assign to a resource in their respective department. I have based a query on this table that returns the tasks associated with a given resource; however when the resource tries to view the...

    Calculation Issues in VBA

Allen Browne* instead of Bob. Bob as in Bob Larson - he has been extremely helpful as well so I just had his name "on tap". I know the logic seems a little awry; however it makes sense, at least in my mind, when a user is entering his/her basic data. It gives me more options to be able to use...

    Calculation Issues in VBA

Hi Paul, I want to be able to determine the total amount of time a resource has spent on a task. Basically this field exists in the table and I would like to populate the table with the correct value. I completely understand what Bob is referring to in his article; however the user cannot...

    Calculation Issues in VBA

I have been stuck on this for the past couple of days and it seems I am getting absolutely nowhere. I am having an extremely difficult time calculating values which seem, for the most part, very straight forward. I have done quite a bit of debugging and I have been able to isolate the issue to...

    After Update/Change Events Not Working

Paul sir you are a gem! Thank you for those pointers. I have never taken proper training and actually, by profession, I am not a developer; however I have been putting applications together in Access for my teams for the past 4 years. Whilst I feel the applications have been extremely helpful...

    After Update/Change Events Not Working

Hi Paul, Thank you very much for the quick response. That worked like a charm. If it wouldn't be too much trouble could you actually tell me what you did and what I did wrong in the first place? You wrote less code and got the desired result whereas I feel I use too much code and I was...

    After Update/Change Events Not Working

    Hi Paul, The code I am using is as follows: Private Sub cboEmployeeID_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer) If Len(cboEmployeeID.Value) <> 0 And DCount("EmployeeID", "tblAccessRights", "EmployeeID = '" & cboEmployeeID.Value & "'") = 0 Then imgGreenCheckcboEmployeeID.Visible = True...

    After Update/Change Events Not Working

I am trying to update values in an unbound text box based on a selection in the combo box on the same form; however whilst I am easily able to display the information for the first selection the values do not update when I change the value in the drop down. What is going on here!?
