Hi there are you still using access ? I have come across your code to move a record from 1 table to another and struggling to get it to work. Do i make the new table with the same fields as existing one? Also is it just the new table I change in your code? Thanks very much for any help.
Oh I see what you mean a list of accounts in a dropdown so it would need the record number. I think I need to study it a bit more. Thanks again for your help.
Spelling looks OK. I just made a form called trial balance and inserted a text box and used this code. Ledger is table Account field and Amount is money. Running Costs are categories.

I am doing a basic cash ledger in a data sheet. I wondered how I can create a trial balance eg. Total all records that field equals subscriptions and vehicles and so on. Something like sumif.
