It's not even about the object. If anything changes in a cats immediate environment and they don't see it or hear it, it's still spook them when they notice it. It's instinct. It's also a bit stressful to do this to them intentionally. It's not healthy for them.

I think you overestimate the opposition or underestimate the allies. Probably a combo of both. There's nothing moral about blocking an entire group of people based on a single trait regardless of where their athletic ability actually falls.

On another note, I think there should be a rule about publicly questioning mods decisions. They should be handled in a way that doesn't expose the site. Almost every site out there has rules for this and methods to dispute mod decisions properly. It certainly shouldn't be done in a thread...
