Exactly, and the simple ones are quite easy. I tackled one about a month ago that calculated an End Date based on the Start Date of the next record - easy enough to figure out, but I wanted the most current record's End Date to stay blank. That last bit was tricky and I was determined NOT to use...

I am not a lover of them, and they intimidate the ever-living-dog-doo-doo out of me. BUT...there is no denying the convience and power of them!
