    Splitting name from email address

    I have a list of email addresses. I want to take the name before "@" and divide it into two if there's a "." or "- " or "_". And to capitalise the first letter of both names. For example, rob-roy@hootsmon.com would be Rob Roy. Hope an expert would show me how. Cheers

    A field in the table is hyperlinked. I put urls in, but obviously I have to do something else to tag on "http://". Alternatively, be pleased to know the code to concatenate "http://" onto the urls.

    Strings contain urls. Is there a simple way to trim a url out, please? For example, " www.zzuk.co.uk/cardiff/Ely - 17k - Cached - More from this site - Save " What I would like to be left with is simply "www.zzuk.co.uk/cardiff/Ely"

    Normal upper and lower case in sql

    People have entered themselves in the db in lc and upper and a mixture of both. Is there a way when displaying the names, please, to say in sql that I want them to be 'normal' - ie Peter Plant, Sue Marris, etc even though they are entered as PETER plant and sue marris?

    Subform snubs new record input

    One form, two subforms in a new db. The three work well together, except when it comes to a new record. When I want to input details of a new record, the main form and a subform work ok, but the third subform won't accept anything. Any guidance, please, gurus?

    Updating between fields of different data types

    WorkID is a look-up field, so its Data Type is Number. In the same table, DailyGrind is a field with the Data Type of text. I would like to update WorkID with the jobs in DailyGrind. Surely there must be a way to do it, gurus?
