I use FoxPro dbf files in Access, using the link option (under External Data). Suddenly, there are records that I cannot view in the Access file. For example, the record count in the dbf file is 18842, but when the file is opened in Access, the count is 18771. The missing records are not the...

I should have said, no to the Access version, OS changes, database changes or storage location. What I don't know is if there where any patches or fixes applies that may have affected my files.

Not that I know of, but I work for a large company and we don't get notified of changes, they just happen. I guess it's time to call the Help Desk. Thanks for the reply and if you have any tips, please let me know. :)

Hello - I have been using linked tables, to various dBase files, for many months, no problems. Last week I started getting the error "External Table is not in the Expected Format" when I try to create a new link or when I use the Link Manager to update the exsiting links. What to do? :banghead:
