    Hi JHB, sorry to be a nuisance. I have tried with no luck to edit the form, so that if I enter a new street that does not currently exist it will add it and update the relevant table. Also, when editing any house detail or adding any detail the street details are not being updated back...

    The calculation is very simple "=([text39]/[text24])" both of these fields are also calculated fields in the report footer from values returned via the query. if these fields are actual values no problem, but as soon as one of the is a blank or 0 then i get the error.
