Hi JHB, sorry to be a nuisance. I have tried with no luck to edit the form, so that if I enter a new street that does not currently exist it will add it and update the relevant table. Also, when editing any house detail or adding any detail the street details are not being updated back...

Your input has been great, I have done as mentioned, and on my form I have got the street name as a combo box, but I can not get it to update changes in the subform if I change street name. I am not sure what I am missing. I have attached what I have done thus far.

Is it possible to insert or embed windows calculator to a form so that it is always visable. It does not need to update any fields on a form or table, but just there to assist with calcualtions prior to entering a value?

The second formula i get this on is "=([text20]/[text22]/[text35])"

The calculation is very simple "=([text39]/[text24])" both of these fields are also calculated fields in the report footer from values returned via the query. if these fields are actual values no problem, but as soon as one of the is a blank or 0 then i get the error.

I have created a report, based on a query to filter results by date range as user selected. the report footer is performing calculations (percentages) from the values returned. Sometimes some of these fields might be returned blank and when this happens my calculations return #num! or #div/0...
