    Hi Plog, there aren't any relationships - just the one table (community) so I am unable to show any at the moment. Not to worry, I'll keep trying different versions -of the same statement- even an ape learns eventually :-) thanks for all you help.

    Hi Jdraw, thanks for replying, yes I do understand about the naming conventions - I'm going to tidy all that up at some point once I've cracked this query bit :-) There are only two tables - Community & Targets which have no relationship at the moment.
