    Somewhat bizarre...?

Wayne, Figured it out. My validation formula was slightly out. I had: =([Date In] & [Time In]) < ([Date Out] & [Time Out]) I should have had: [Date In]+[Time In] < [Date Out]+[Time Out] Couple of issues there, but the one that was screwing it all up was the "=" symbol at the start of the...

    Somewhat bizarre...?

The fields are in separate text boxes on the form, and unfortunately I do need to keep them this way.

    Somewhat bizarre...?

Wayne, I'd much rather deal with the fields you suggest, but for data enter purposes, the Date and Time fields must be separate. They're in my table as Date/Time fields with dd/mm/yy format on the Date fields and Short Time on the Time fields.

    Somewhat bizarre...?

I should clarify: When I say it works, I mean the validation formula allows the data to be entered. When I say it doesn't work, I mean the form won't allow the record to be completed. Displays the appropriate error message and insists on the user entering a different value.

    Somewhat bizarre...?

Afternoon all and sundry, I have a problem which is causing me no little grief. I have six fields in a form linked to a table. 1. Date In 2. Time In 3. Date Agent 4. Time Agent 5. Date Out 6. Time Out In the form, I have validation formulas set up on field 4 and 6, which say, for example...

    DateDiff Trouble.

Thanks Wayne, I just figured out how to do it via a query and was about to post the solution. Your coding looks easier, so I'll give that a go too. Cheers.

    DateDiff Trouble.

Greetings and Salutations all! I have a question here that, whilst being DateDiff related, isn't like anything else I can find in the forums. If it's already been answered and I missed it, my apologies. Otherwise, here it is: Four fields: Date In (dd/mm/yy) Time In (hh:nn) Date Out (dd/mm/yy)...

    Access Error

Many thanks. Am downloading it now. I'm running Access 2000, but I have a colleague who isn't using her copy of 2002. If this bug is ironed out in 2002, I thought I'd swap versions with her. What do you think?

And if so, is it fixed in Access 2002???

    Access Error

From the errors I'm getting, I'm thinking it isn't a vba thing. Could it have something to do with the installation or setup of Access? The error about problems communicating with the OLE server have me wondering...

    Access Error

Mailman, I tried compiling the module earlier. No luck. I get another error message: "Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost." I get this elsewhere in the db as well. This has really got me beat, and is causing no end of frustration. Nothing worse than finishing a db and...

    Access Error

Howdy boys and girls, It's been a little while since I've been on, and I've missed you all more than you can know! But I'm back with a brand new problem. Actually, it's a reoccuring problem. I finish building a db from scratch, put in the finishing touches, and when I click, for example, a...

    Always Visible

IMO, you're a True Gentleman. I think. Gender is sometimes ambiguous in forums. Perhaps you're a True Lady. Suffice to say that I am very appreciative of your response. I'll buy you a drink the next time I swing by Planet Zog. Cheerio.

    Always Visible

Hiya all, Another gratuitous question for the group! I'm running a time stamp for a group of staff. I want to have it resemble something along the lines of the Windows taskbar. Landscape format, very narrow, etc. But here's the catch. I want it to remain permanently on top. Always visible. Is...

    Graph question...

Hullo folks, I have a call times log set up. TimeIn, TimeOut, Duration. I want to set up a graph that looks like this: X-Axis = TimeIn per hour Y-Axis = Count of Calls (TimeIn will suffice) per hour This is the first time I've seen Graph in Access, and I'm rather lost. Thanks.
