I have a database with a field called "Drawing Number". I can set it up so that the prefix "STD." always appears and then I type in the relevant number. BUT I cannot figure out how to set up autonumber so that the "STD." appears and then the auto number is added????

I've managed this once, now I've added another field to the database I cannot add this to the report. When I drag the new field onto the report I get 2 boxes. One needs to be in the page header and the other in the detail part of the report. BUT both boxes moved together, I can't separate them????

Is there a way to set up a database so that entered data is password protected and only new data can be added?

Seeing as a report gets its information from a table. I'd have expected the report to updated when ever the table is modified. Seems not, unless I'm doing something wrong (likely). What I mean is, if I add another field to a form or table, this isn't added to the report automatically. The best...

i have a simple datsbase with 2 fields - drawing number and description. the drawing numbers are in the formatt STD123 e.t.c. When I try to sort numerically the order ends up as STD1 STD10 STD11 STD100 STD101.......... How do I get it to list in true numeric order in report and table view i.e...

Is there anyway to change the justification of text in a table heading on in the contents? I've searched high and low for an answer but can't find it. Also, can a table heading have different text & colour than the table contents? Thanks.
