    what if the items have different values; such as, Item A = 20, Item B = 30, Item C = 50 ? They all have different values in priority of completion, but all needing added for total percent of completion for the entire task per record.

    Yes they can click and unclick the checkbox as required. And the calculated value will need to be on the form and in the query.

    Awesome. that was what I was thinking. Useing second query to do the calculations. Again though, and forgive me, but when I use the type of equation that you specified above, where would I place it? (table? query? and under what category?) Thanks.
