    Herouxville

From what I've heard about it, it is intended to keep out the people that, in other parts of the world (and maybe Canada too, don't know) insist on being treated differently or having the wider community change to suit them - eg demanding Sharia law, banning christmas decorations, etc. Our...

My wife found out that her father was part Canadian Indian (Inuit I think is the preferred term?) And her mother's parents were both Scottish. So can she claim to be a Scottish-Inuit-Australian? :D Me, I'm an English-Irish-and-a-bunch-of-other-things-Australian :p

    Stella Awards

I don't know for sure, but I think Australia falls in the middle somewhere... people don't get sued left right & centre, but it can be done. There's a legal firm advertising on the radio that they're the best in personal injury law, so obviously there is some call for it.

    Joke (one for the Brits)

They're obviously not fans of Piers Anthony's Xanth series, or (Robert Asprin?)'s Myth series of punny fantasy novels. Some of the ones in the Myth series particularly, you need to think with an American accent :D

    Question on American politics

Certainly is. Australian David Hicks is still in there. The Brits got sent home because their government asked for it. Australian government hasn't done the same for its citizens, despite the public feeling they should be. Notice that the government are saying that if he feels that way he...

    Whats the better Option?

From what I've heard on the news recently, a lot of Iranians are not happy with their government's anti-West agenda. So if "the people" get their way, we may see a more reasonable government in the not too distant future.

    The NEW America

Yes, "top yourself" is slang for commit suicide. Reminds me of a joke... "An ice-cream man was found dead in the back of his van today, covered with crushed nuts and chocolate sauce. Police say he topped himself." :p
