Thanks lightray But i think you misunderstood me. I know how to use conditional formatting (the field in question already has two conditions which work fine). What i am after is the 'expression' to use so that conditional formatting will return results when the field reads the specific date...

I have a report with training dates. I would like the report to format any fields with the date 01/01/2001 in yellow Does anyone know the expression to use? This feels like it should be simple but has been driving me mad for days. Hoping someone can help Ali
