I just used the simple one that you suggested earlier and I think (I can't quite remember) i just didn't have the form open when I ran the macro, so it couldn't find it and so When I had the form open and ran the macro it worked fine! Scuppered by a tiny detail!!

Ok, thanks I have done that and it works great, I ve got tonnes of macros and forms all over the palce but everything works now so i'm pretty damn happy :D :D :D

HAHA! This happened to me, check that (if you are using a macro) that it is set to load normal and not read only, or add, or icon, etc.

Well, what I did, I wish i had the database on this pc, is I used ac ombo box in the header and made it so that when I clicked on a certain patient record (a doctors office) the main body of the form brought up all the data in the correct boxes. Would that suffice?
